My students go to school over 7 hours a day. While they love school, and learning, their little bodies need to move. Together, we brainstormed ways that can help them move throughout the day while still learning. They suggested moving during math and reading small group time and sitting in alternative areas in the room. I researched and found that balance stools and yoga balls are suitable options to help keep students moving. During the day, we also researched ways that they can eat more healthy and ways that they can be active after school. Students shared their ideas with classmates and parents
With the balance stools, and yoga balls, students will be able to be active while still learning in the classroom.
This will help them to stay more focused in the classroom and become less distracted.
