I have the pleasure of teaching 4th and 5th graders at Mary Casey Black Elementary School. My students have been identified with mild-moderate disabilities. I work with students who have autism, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, and/or other health impairments. I help students by re-teaching and pre-teaching concepts that are learned in the general education classrooms such as reading, writing, and math. I also help students with their organizational skills, such as writing in their daily planner and keeping up-to-date with their assignments and helping them keep their backpacks organized. All of these skills are necessary in order to set them up for success.
