The Gift of Reading
Funded Jun 24, 2010We cannot thank you enough for the donation of these books. They are used daily in our classroom-the kids read to their buddies, they read with me, they read on their own. You have encouraged in them a love a reading that hopefully will follow them throughout their academic career.
It was so generous and kind of you to fund out proposal! The kids were so excited as we opened the box-like Christmas a little early this year. They love the stories and it really has helped improve their reading abilities. In First Grade reading is the focus and they have definitely benefited from your thoughtful donation.
Thank you so much!”

Take My Teacher Home
Funded Apr 27, 2010I cannot thank you enough for your gracious donation to our class! The kids were overjoyed at the thought of being able to "take their teacher home" with them and listen to stories being read over the mp3 players. I know this will help them tremendously with their reading fluency and vocabulary skills, plus it exposes them to new technology that their homes may not yet have.
It was incredibly generous and kind of you to fulfill our proposal. What a great example to set for these kiddos! Your kindness will definitely have an impact on their daily school experience and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Not Just Child's Play
Funded Apr 8, 2010I cannot thank you enough for funding our classroom proposal for materials! My students are very bright and they love the challenge these new resources have brought for them. We use them in workstations every day and it allows me to pull students to work in small groups on their level in reading and math. The activities really keep them engaged and I wish you could hear the discussions they have about what they are learning.
Kindergarten is vital year for reading and math, but also for learning how to collaborate and work with others. These resources have given my kids numerous activities in which to practice those skills. They were very excited to open the box and try out their new games. Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity-it's a great example to set for these youngsters about giving!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Trayers

Funded Apr 4, 2010I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. The resources you funded for my students are being used during our reading instruction daily. The kids love building words and reading the books that purchased with your donation.
My kids come from homes that are often disadvantaged; many of them have already been labeled "at-risk". These materials are giving them experiences that they wouldn't have had otherwise and really inspired them to become better readers. They love reading and discussing the adventures of characters in the stories, talking about spelling patterns they have discovered and their fluency has already improved.
We very much appreciate your kind donation!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Trayers
