Keep Art Alive
Funded Jul 19, 2012I cannot thank you enough for your kind donation! The students were so excited to receive their art supplies. I truly believe that using art in activities when the kiddos are young can help them develop those creativity skills that will help them when they are older. We use the paper, paints and other supplies daily. So far, the children have made various kinds of self-portraits, characters from literature and invented their own characters. We plan to do a project using claymation in the spring. All because of your generous donation! We are truly, truly grateful! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Make Us Smart!
Funded Dec 16, 2011I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation. We moved into a new school building in which we were very fortunate to have Smartboards outfitted in each classroom; however we didn't have any resources to use with the new technology. Because of your fulfillment of our proposal the students are now very much in control of their own learning. They choose the games they want to play (and they always want to play on it!). We use the calendar resource on daily basis to review our math skills. Because of your donation, we are able to keep the kids engaged in learning in a very interactive way.
We are very grateful for your donations to our project. Thank you so much!”

Playing Picasso
Funded Aug 4, 2011I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity in donating to our project. Art is a passion of mine and I try to help instill that same passion for creating in my students. They are very imaginative and love to make things with their hands. As they are painting something they will ask "can we take this home today". They are born artists!
Art is also one of the first areas to be cut from education budgets. Administrators can't exactly justify spending money on paints and tissue paper when they can't afford textbooks, etc. Your donation helps me to still be able to give these kiddos opportunities to learn how to be creative, which will resonate in other areas as well. If they can be creative in art-maybe it will help them in writing or when they are reading stories.
Your kindness has made class much more enjoyable for our students. We are incredibly grateful for your gift! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Bananas for Books
Funded Jul 28, 2011Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Our kiddos and I thank you very deeply for your kind donations. Because of you, we were still able to facilitate our student book clubs this year. Over seventy students participate altogether from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. They check out and read the books that you donated on a daily basis and I know it's made them more passionate about reading. We meet weekly to discuss their favorites and the all the different characters that they are reading about. If you could hear the excitement in their voices as they discuss those various adventures!
We are very, very grateful for your generosity! Thank you so much!”

Funded May 22, 2011I cannot even articulate how much this gift has meant to our kiddos! We have a book club that over seventy students now participate in across the grade levels Kinder-5th Grade. They need to have books to check out and read, otherwise we just cannot have this program. Because of your kindness and generosity, this year these students were all able to participate again.
They have come to love books about famous authors like Mark Twain and Louisa May Alcott, traveled back in time with Laura Ingalls Wilder and even discovered new superheroes-like one little girl with cerebral palsy.
We are so incredibly grateful for your kind donation-thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Funded Dec 20, 2010The students in my class were beyond excited to receive their big box of art supplies! They went through everything one by one suggesting projects we could do. I cannot even articulate how grateful we are for your incredible generosity. I truly believe that our future leaders need to learn how to be creative and that's a difficult task in education today with more and more art programs being cut.
This donation has allowed a group of very bright kiddos to create their "visions" and put their imagination to good use in project after project. We've incorporated these projects into math, science and social studies as well as writing. Even more importantly, you've allowed me the opportunity to make learning FUN for them again!
Thank you so much for your kind donations! We are very, very grateful!”

Loco For Literature
Funded Feb 28, 2011Gracias! Merci! Danka! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We were so surprised and moved by your generous donation. The students were so excited to receive their new reading materials. It was incredibly kind of you to consider our classroom proposal.
Because of your donation-23 very precocious first graders are going to be able to improve their all-important foundation of reading this year. They really are "Loco for Literature". They love to read and learn all there is to know about becoming better readers. Unfortunately, we only have so much in the way of resources. Classroom after classroom will use these materials to continue harvesting that excitement for reading and literature. We are incredibly grateful for that.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

It's Only a Game!
Funded Sep 25, 2010Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My kids just adore their new games. They beg to play with them on a daily basis. I also appreciate having new resources to help them with their reading and math skills. It is also helping them learn sportsmanship and compromise. With your generous donation, you are helping to lay the foundation of reading for them. Most importantly it helps them enjoy learning! Sometimes they don't even realize they are working on their reading or math skills.
My kiddos are very bright and articulate, however most of them come from homes that don't have the kinds of resources they need to improve their reading and math skills. Because of you- at least they do have access to those materials at school.
Thank you again for your kindness, it is very much appreciated!”

Funded Aug 31, 2010I cannot thank you enough for funding the proposal for our classroom materials. The kids just love the reading games and use them on a daily basis. They are learning comprehension as well as strategies like cause and effect/fact and opinion. Not to mention they are learning how to collaborate with other children-which at this age is not always an easy thing for them to learn.
Your donation will mean that these First Graders will have a much better foundation in reading skills. Plus they love to play them and often don't even realize they are reading because it's so much fun!
We are very grateful for your generosity and kindness! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Funded Aug 22, 2010I can't even articulate how grateful we are that you funded our proposal! When the box was delivered to our room, the kids' faces just lit up. And when they opened it and found books...well, I can't even tell you how excited they were. Even though we were in the middle of a math lesson-they wanted to choose one and start reading right away!
The kids I teach don't have huge libraries at home and often, even lack the transportation to get to a public library. Having books that they could read in class and borrow for the night, taking it home and read it with their families-I can't even express the passion you have given them for reading. In First Grade, reading is the focus. If you can spark an inspiration then, sometimes it's something that follows them throughout their academic career. You have done that for my students and words don't seem to convey the thankfulness we feel. But thank you, thank you, thank you! It was extremely generous and kind; we are very grateful.”
