We Like Big Books and We Cannot Lie
Funded Jul 25, 2019We are so thankful for your generous donation to our class. The students were so excited to receive the boxes of books and we use them every day. Reading is a big part of what we teach in Kindergarten and it's so hard to get them excited about reading without having actual books. They have time to read independently throughout the day and I read stories aloud to them. It's my favorite part of the day! We gather around in a circle and they are all engaged in whatever adventure we are taking part in.
Because of you I am able to help foster a passion for reading in my students. We are eternally grateful for your kindness. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Funded Jun 14, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The students were so excited to open the boxes and try out their new workstation materials. We use the math manipulatives every day to practice our basic math skills. The students practice counting, measuring and making patterns. This allows me time to work with students individually on the objectives they still need practice with.
We are truly grateful for your kindness and generosity. What a great example to set for our students. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Nov 3, 2018We are so incredibly grateful for your donation to our class! My Kindergarten students learn best when they can manipulate letters and counters to practice their basic skills. Every day they work in groups to review the objectives we are working on. They LOVE this time of day because to them they are just "playing". We know by playing with letters and sounds they are growing as readers, but to them this is just a fun time of day.
Because of your donation we were able to get new resources for them to work with. We use them every single day. They were thrilled when the boxes arrived and were so appreciative of your generosity.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Name That Book Club
Funded Oct 24, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation to our book club! We have over 50 students participating in after school clubs just to read. We meet once a week after school and discuss the books, the students can check out titles they are interested in. It has been so amazing to motivate our students to read more.
We also have many students learning English as a second language-this is helping not only with the vocabulary they need to learn but also in boosting their confidence to read and communicate in English. My students look forward to our meetings every week and have read amazing titles this year about refugees, about history and about making a difference in this world. I am not exaggerating when I say this donation has made a huge impact on their lives. Without books it's hard to hold a book club. We have so many budget cuts that without your help this just would not have happened this year.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Funded Aug 22, 2018We are truly grateful for your generous donation to our classroom. The materials are used every day by my Kindergarten students. They are learning to read by starting with letters and sounds. Your donation has made it possible to give them practice with these skills in a fun way. Their faces just lit up when the package arrived. They ask to play with the puzzles and games every day. Because of this, they have made so much progress in sounding out words to read and to write.
Thank you very much for your kindness!”

Funded Aug 2, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation to our class. I truly believe that we need to teach students how to be creative. Many have natural talents, but do not have experience applying that knowledge to make their own creations.
The students were overjoyed to hear the project got funded and even more excited to open the boxes and see the gifts they were given. They said things like "that was so nice of them" and "they did this for us-they don't even know us"!
We have made all kinds of different self-portraits. We have learned about artists like Frida Kahlo and Mondrian, using their styles to make their own masterpieces.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!!”

Graphic Novels for Reluctant Readers
Funded Mar 8, 2018Because of your generous donation, we were able to read graphic novels throughout the school year and even held our own Comic-Con where students were inspired to write and present their own stories. Many of our students are LEP, they are learning English as their second language and the illustrations in the graphic novels make it easier for them to understand the story.
My students stayed after school once a week to read! They enjoyed stories about social justice, being kind, families and multi-cultural themes. You helped us inspire students who usually complain about reading to read and we are very grateful!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Help My Bookworms!
Funded Mar 27, 2018I cannot thank you enough for helping us get our books for the school's student book club. The kiddos were very excited to jump in and start reading these new titles. Their favorites so far are The Bad Seed and Giant Pants (about a Giant who misplaced his pants). The students laughed along with the characters-you helped bring joy to our class. Because of you we are able to continue our book club and kindle the fire for these passionate readers.
We are so incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity. My students don't have much when it comes to resources at home, so these stories will be ones they share with their families as well. You have helped inspire some little readers! Thank you so much!!!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018We are so incredibly grateful for the funding of our project. I teach Kindergarten and one of the big goals we have for the end of the year is learning how to read. Every day the students work in workstations and practice those reading skills.
Your donation helped us get new resources for them to create words using hands-on activities. They work in groups to explore making new words with the sounds and letters they are learning. It makes them excited to come to school and to learn how to read. That is because of you!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Ready for Recess
Funded Nov 17, 2017Thank you so very much for funding our project! The students were so excited to see the boxes arrive and couldn't wait to get outside and play with the recess equipment. They are learning to dance with the long ribbons, to hula hoop, to play Frisbee and to work as a team playing ball. Recess is so important to our school day. Especially in early childhood, we know that the students learn better if they are able to get some exercise and play. Every day they choose what they want to take out with them to recess and it's amazing to see them sharing all their equipment and working together.
We are truly grateful for sponsoring our classroom! Please know you made over 20 students very happy.”
