The materials will make a difference in my students learning by giving up the supplies to fully integrate all subject areas. The system of organization is changing and different items are needed. The students each have a binder that they use to organize each subject. The colored lined paper will help organize topics. I am giving the students more voice and choice throughout the rest of the year. With that comes flexible seating. The students have expressed interest in the items like the futon couch to create more of a comfortable learning space instead of being confined to their desk chairs. Some students would benefit from a fidget item, such as the bouncy bands or the wobble cushions, that do not involve their hands as those become distractions. I have one student in particular that would greatly benefit from having the ball stability chair as his regular form of seating. The students will use the stools to gather around my intervention table and having extras will allow me to reach more children. I like to let the students choose if they need to come see me on a regular basis and having extra stools for them to use makes that possible. The paper and markers will be used by myself along with the students. The paper will be used to create math and reading activities to reinforce the topics and concepts that were taught. The markers will give the students who cannot afford supplies a means to have them available when creating projects and assignments.
