I want to start my next school year off with flexible seating in my classroom. Allowing students to have a choice in their seating will keep them more engaged throughout our lessons. Engaging students is key to their academic success. Having a seating option such as yoga balls will allow students who struggle to sit still a way to get their energy out without distracting the rest of the class. Having individual lab desks will allow students who struggle to work by other students a way to work individually away from distractions. Having stools will allow students who get to comfortable a way to stay alert for lessons.
