  • Book Loving Kids

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

This project, aimed at enriching our classroom library with books tailored to the unique interests of each student, has had a profound impact on our learning environment. Students are more eager to engage with reading when they can choose books that resonate with their interests and preferences. As a result, the introduction of these new texts has sparked a newfound enthusiasm for reading among our students, fostering a culture of curiosity and exploration in our classroom.

In our classroom, reading takes on a vibrant and interactive dimension. Students are not only immersed in their chosen books but also actively participate in discussions, sharing their insights and discoveries with enthusiasm. What's truly heartwarming is witnessing the joy on their faces as they eagerly delve into the world of literature, exploring new characters, settings, and ideas with boundless enthusiasm. Moreover, the impact of this project extends beyond our classroom walls, as students eagerly share their newfound love for reading with their peers in lower grade levels. They take pride in reading aloud to younger students, captivating their audience and igniting a passion for literacy in others. This project has not only enhanced our students' enjoyment of reading but has also fostered a sense of community and connection within our school.”

  • Fun Friday

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

The generous donation of board games, art supplies, building sets, and interactive toys has had a profound impact on our classroom. These items, initially considered simple playthings, have transformed the educational landscape. Board games, such as chess and Scrabble, have not only brought joy but also honed critical thinking and strategic skills in our students. Art supplies sparked creativity and self-expression while building sets and interactive toys fostered exploration and curiosity.

Our initial goal was to create an environment where students were excited to come to school every Friday. With "Fun Friday," a day dedicated to exploration and play, these educational toys became central. Students eagerly anticipated it, fostering camaraderie and unleashing creativity. "Fun Friday" was not just about fun and games; it became a celebration of learning and self-expression. Your generosity has left an indelible mark on our students' educational journey, fostering a love for learning, enhancing their core curriculum, and creating unforgettable memories. Your support has touched the hearts and minds of our diverse students, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.”

  • Starter Snacks

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Having snacks in the classroom has had a remarkable impact on my students' overall learning experience. The positive reaction from the students has been truly heartwarming. They eagerly anticipate snack time, and their enthusiasm is palpable. Not only does it create a sense of comfort and camaraderie within the classroom, but it also provides them with the energy they need to stay engaged during our lessons. I've noticed that students who might have otherwise felt fatigued or irritable towards the end of the day are now more alert and participative. Snack time has become a bonding moment for them, as they share their favorite treats, discuss their preferences, and even exchange snacks to try something new. This simple addition to our classroom routine has fostered a positive and inclusive environment that extends beyond our snack time.

Furthermore, the introduction of snacks has had an unexpected but significant financial benefit for our students' families. Fun Friday, our designated day for enjoying special snacks, allows parents to save money on buying expensive treats for their children's school lunches. By collectively contributing to the snack supply, parents can share the costs and reduce the financial burden on individual families. This collaboration not only promotes financial relief but also enhances a sense of community and support among our students' families. Overall, the incorporation of classroom snacks has not only enhanced our students' well-being and enjoyment but has also positively practically impacted their families.”

  • Morning Books

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your kind and thoughtful donation of fun Friday games for our 3rd graders. Your generosity has brought endless smiles and excitement to our classrooms, creating a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn while having fun. Your support means more than words can convey, and we truly appreciate your commitment to enriching our students' educational experiences. Thank you for making Fridays extra special for our young learners.

In addition to the evident academic benefits, it's heartwarming to see just how much our students are relishing these morning books. The sheer joy on their faces as they delve into the pages of their chosen reads is contagious. Many students can't wait to share their thoughts and discoveries from the books during class discussions, creating a wonderful sense of community around reading. It's also remarkable to witness how they've become more confident readers, eager to tackle more challenging texts as they discover their own interests. The gift of these morning books has not only improved their reading skills but has also kindled a lifelong love of literature that we hope will continue to thrive in the years to come. Our sincerest thanks for making these moments of pure enjoyment and intellectual growth possible for our students.”

I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your kind and thoughtful donation of snacks to our classroom. Your generosity has made a significant impact on both the morale and learning experience of our students.

The snacks you provided have been instrumental in fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment. • Supplies for Success

    Funded Aug 3, 2022

We are beyond thankful for the donations. We have used the dry erase boards and markers for whole group instruction. It was very easy to replace the markers for the students once they were dried out . Students had access to pencils , no student went without a pencil. The crayons came in handy. Students were able to use Close Reading Strategies with the primary crayon colors.

The students were very happy with the supplies. We opened the boxes together , and they all screamed. The students were happy to know that the supplies were for them. Students knew where to get the supplies and also how much of the supplies to use.

The next step is to take the supplies to 3rd grade. I'm looping with my students and we had supplies left over. We will use the same supplies in 3rd grade. Thanks for helping bring this project to life!”

  • Better Books

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Carpet time is the best time in the classroom . In the morning or towards the end of the day , I wrap it up with a book. We read for enjoyment, books like Just Try One Bite. We learn lessons about the world and the people around us by reading books like " The World Needs More People". We read books to make connections with others that look just like us in " My Fade is Fresh". Sometimes we just read because we need to. I'm saying this to say that all of my students are enjoying the new books. My struggling readers are enjoying reading the graphic novels. I can honestly say that we have better books in our classroom!”

With the donations that we received , we were able to use the paint and supplies twice! We first used the supplies to create a four seasons painting to demonstrate our understanding of the four seasons. We use the materials again to create geometric abstract art. We had everything we needed , and the students were able to express their creativity! My students enjoyed both activities , thanks for helping bring their ideas to life! The students were happy and excited to learn that we had every color they wanted.”

25 STUDENTS AND 3 CLASS COMPUTERS! YIKES!!! I want to change the way my students feel about the subject that I'm very passionate about. I tell my students to read books in my classroom library and they would react as if they were told to eat all of their vegetables! Yes , I will admit that I do not have the best classroom library but I do have interesting books. I have books of all categories , but I'm starting to realize that my library is not the problem. The problem is that students are not wanting to read books anymore. These kids are interested in video games and technology. I want to meet my students on their level and show them that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to show them that Reading is a special superpower to have. There are many problems that's stopping me from proving this FACT to them. 1.Not all of my students are reading on grade level , some of my students are reading on a Kindergarten level. I cannot afford to buy books across all reading levels. 2. I do not have much room to store the books in my small classroom. It was that moment thought about it. I should have digital classroom library! Students will have access to all digital books and games to help improve their Reading and Fluency. The only problem is that there is not enough technology for my students. We have only 4 computers in the classroom and 25 students in each class. Please help bring this digital library to life! The students can use these tablets to read books , recipes , news articles , magazines , and even e-mails! This would work perfect in stations also.
