For the 2021-2022 school year, I am moving from a full-size classroom to a smaller resource room. I am looking forward to the new environment. However, this room will not house the number of students, furniture, or layout we are used to.
Flexible seating offers a unique classroom setup and allows students to take responsibility for their learning by making the best choices for them. At my school, we teach students to BEE safe, respectful, and responsible. Students show these values during independent work time by choosing a seating option they can use to focus and not disrupt others.
One of the most engaging components of a classroom is making sure students are comfortable. I see great differences in my students when they are given a choice. This will teach them how to BEE responsible when learning.
I wish you could see just how incredible my students are. These new seating options will allow us to start a new year on a bright (and comfortable) foot! Supplemental resources from Teachers Pay Teachers will also allow me to provide lessons and visuals for using these seats appropriately. Please help me in giving back to these special little learners.
With much love,
Miss Orban
