  • A Place for Everyone: Classroom Rug

    Funded Nov 3, 2017

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom rug! It has made such a huge difference for the kids, especially having their own space on the rug. Students were so excited as they walked into the classroom and saw a brand new rug. Thank you for bringing joy to my students' lives. It was very important to them to have a space large enough for themselves and their learning tools. It has help tremendously with classroom management. This would have not been possible without your support so from the bottom of my heart, thank you!”

  • First Grade Art Masterpiece Drying Rack

    Funded Feb 6, 2017

Thank you so much for your donation! We have been using the art rack daily during choice time. The students really appreciate having the drying rack, especially after an art project. We no longer need to find space on the floor to place their artwork to dry. It is now in a safe place. By having a drying rack, I find myself doing art a lot more since we have the storage for them. It was harder to do art before because we were limited on drying space. I cannot thank you enough for your contribution. We are truly grateful.”

Thank you for your support for our classroom. Students have been using the whisper phones daily while reading to self and during small group reading instruction. This has greatly benefit my students that need fluency practice. The tools are much appreciated by all. We are also using the rods to help build number sense. Students are having a blast exploring the tools and drawing their own conclusions. The rods has help my students understand the relationship between numbers and has provided them the opportunity to learn hands-on. Thank you so much for your wonderful donation. The kids are enjoying the materials you have funded. We are currently using the iPad to complete research and creating drafts for our ramp system. During math, students are using the iPad to access ST Math, a math program, and other apps to help build their math skills. Many of the students are learning their math facts, subtraction and addition, on the iPad. In first grade, we are all explorers and learning by making discoveries. The students that enter the classroom are all unique and special to classroom. They all bring individual GREAT qualities. Our school is located in Seattle, WA. We are lucky enough to be surrounded by a wonderful community. Students come from different backgrounds and life experiences but we learn to love and accept each other. They are enthusiastic learners that come to school everyday ready and excited to learn!
