Four out of the five days a week, students in my class will be given close to 50 minutes to read during SSR (Sustained Silent Reading). It can be a trouble getting 7th and 8th graders interested in reading. Having books in my class that students will be interested in will not only improve their reading skills, but will also help them fall in love with reading. It is a goal of my school to incorporate English in every subject which one of many reasons having this eclectic collection in my class is so important to me. My students having access to these books will help them both now and in the future.
