Every year I meet 20-25 second graders who are beginning learn independently. They thrive best when they are given manipulatives, technology, or asked to complete a task. As an educator, in an inner city, it is my job to make sure this academic vigor does not dissipate but instead flourishes. I am always encouraging them to think outside the box and use critical thinking skills. By facilitating interactive learning my students are constantly flexing their academic muscles. Together, with your help, my class and I can reach new heights.
