Leaders Getting Organized
Funded Dec 3, 2014I wanted to take this time to say "thank you" to all of you for your generous donations toward this project. My students were excited to see our boxes containing the binders, plastic page protectors, and the always necessary Kleenex. They all agreed that it felt like Christmas all over again!
The Kleenex tissue boxes are used on a daily basis especially during this cold and flu season. My students are using the binders as their leadership notebooks which contain their data from the various assessments taken throughout the year. The page protectors are also a part of these leadership notebooks and help keep the pages from tearing while being stored in the binders.
The materials from this project have helped my students become organized and accountable for their own education. They can immediately view their results and work on updating their personal and academic goals which are also stored in these binders.
Thank you again for your supporting our future.”

Ms. Kobayashi
Let's Get Moving and Play!
Funded Oct 23, 2014I wanted to take the time to thank you again for supporting our classroom. My students have been enjoying the board games and extra playground balls.
During this day in age of technology, children are playing less and less with board games resulting in less socialization. My students were extremely excited when our shipment arrived and immediately played with the games. This gives them the opportunity to socialize and develop important skills such as cooperation and problem-solving.
The students are always asking to play with the games any chance they get. It's exciting for me to watch and hear their enthusiasm while playing with these simple items that will undoubtedly help with their development. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

Time to Read and Lead
Funded Jan 17, 2014Thank you again on behalf of my students for your generous donations.
My students were thrilled to learn that we were going to receive the Time for Kids articles and the much needed science reading books. Our resources are either outdated or limited that it's been difficult to present a complete set of reading information to match our nature unit.
The books were used during our whole group and small group lessons about nature. The students especially enjoy studying about weather and plants and even drew their own image of a plant cycle.
It was with the use of these resources from the project that helped us make a better connection to our reading unit with the outside world. Thank you again from the bottom of all of our hearts!”

Funded Jan 13, 2014Once again, thank you very much to all of you for your generous donations toward our project. My students were extremely excited to have found out that they were going to receive the art materials for our art lessons.
We have been very fortunate enough to have one of our parents (and artist by trade) volunteer in our classroom by teaching art lessons. The students have been exposed to various artists who worked with abstract and 3D art. The students began with working with watercolors, tempura paints, and free hand drawing.
As our schools continuously deal with having the arts programs cut every year, it is through your generosity that provided my students with the chance to be exposed to the visual arts. Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts.”

Funded Oct 20, 2012I would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you" to everyone who contributed to our classroom project. My students were extremely excited to see the boxes of classroom resources arrive. Some even said it felt like they were receiving early Christmas presents.
They began using the bingo games and have shown a great deal of improvement in recognizing numbers and rhyming words. They have also been practicing their letter writing skills by using the write and wipe boards. My students are looking forward to showing off their word recognition knowledge after we return from vacation.
Kindergarten is a time to develop the necessary skills in order to become successful students in the future. It is with your generosity that will help my students succeed. Thank you again.”

Funded Feb 27, 2012I wanted to take this time to thank all of you for your generous donation toward our classroom project. My students were excited to have received the new classroom materials such as the glue refill, glue sticks, and additional three dimensional shapes for our math unit. They were also thrilled to have received the new playground balls to use during recess and physical education. Your donations meant a great deal to our school as we continue to deal with budget issues in education. The items we received will enhance our lessons as we progress throughout the school year. Thank you again for everything. ”

You're On Candid Camera!!
Funded Jan 16, 2012I wanted to take this time to say "thank you" to everyone who donated to this project.
My students began using the digital camera by taking pictures of one of our unit projects. They are excited at the prospect of utilizing it in many different ways by using the multiple features. It is my hope that by the end of the year, they will be able to document their learning experiences by creating a video presentation.
Your donation means a great deal to our class and we are very appreciative. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Dec 19, 2011I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for helping us fulfill our project on the Donors Choose website. When the materials arrived, my students told me it felt like Christmas all over again. They are extremely excited about using the various art materials we received.
We have begun preparations for our next reading unit project and the construction paper and tissue paper will definitely help the class in completing their group projects. Unfortunately, art is a subject area that has been severely affected by all of the school budget cuts thus affected our school programs.
Your donation is very much appreciated by all of us at our school. Thank you again for your support and kindness.”

Funded Dec 14, 2011On behalf of my class, I would like to take this time to thank everyone for your donation toward our project on the Donors Choose website. Our materials have arrived from the vendors and my students are definitely excited. They mentioned that it felt like Christmas all over again!
It is unfortunate that due to the extreme budgets made at the school district and state level, our children are affected. It is because of your support that they will have the necessary classroom materials to further succeed in school. ”

Funded Dec 9, 2011I wanted to take this time to say "thank you" to all of you for your generous donation toward our project. Our wonderful rug arrived last week and my students were extremely excited! They kept telling me that it felt like Christmas all over again.
The arrival of our classroom rug made an immediate impact. The students were excited about our reading circle time and wanted to complete their work on the rug rather than at their desks. They are simply excited about the prospect of collaborating with one another by using the rug as an additional workspace. Thank you for making our room feel complete.”
