  • Math, Science, and Technology

    Funded Aug 31, 2019

On behalf of my students, I'd like to say express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this Donors Choose project. We received our brand new laptops shortly after it was funded and the kids were very excited about our new addition!

Your generosity supplied us with two more laptops that allowed immediate access to various websites to give the kids additional practice in math. As all individuals have different learning styles, the students have the ability to work with math programs that tap into concrete and abstract thinking.

Thank you again from all of us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kobayashi

  • Tolerance and Acceptance

    Funded Oct 1, 2019

On behalf of my students, thank you very much for your support toward our project. This book will give students the opportunity to read about and appreciate people's differences. I believe it's extremely important in our society today to expose our students to such differences to help make our world a better place. Thank you again!”

On behalf of my students, thank you very much for supporting our classroom project. We are always in need of art supplies and this will help us out tremendously.

My students are extremely creative and enjoy drawing. This will give them the opportunity to tap into other forms of art media. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Technology for All

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

I'd like to take this time to say "thank you" for thinking about our school and donating to our project. My students appreciated having an additional laptop readily available to use.

With this addition of another laptop, my students were able to access the online math learning program. They have a year long goal to reach 100% completion and 25 out of 29 students reached this goal. Several of my students began to have computer and internet issues at home and this stalled their progress during the school year. Having this extra laptop reached one more student and assisted with their success.

We always appreciate you thinking of us and our school and many thanks!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kobayashi

  • Bridge Building Through STEM

    Funded Oct 6, 2018

On behalf of my students, thank you very much for your generous donation toward our bridge building project. My students will begin exploring the world of various structures and the physics behind each structure. These bridge building kits will allow the students to investigate and experiment with creating different types of bridges. It will also give them the opportunity to expand their understanding of how a bridge remains standing and make further connections with other structures. The ultimate goal would be to create their own bridge with their own materials and test whether or not it can withstand a certain weight.

Thank you again for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kobayashi

  • Basketball Fever!

    Funded Oct 5, 2018

On behalf of my students, I would like to take the time to say thank you for your generous donations toward our classroom project. The kids were extremely excited to have received so many basketballs! They felt like they won a contest when I opened up the boxes. Some even said it felt like Christmas came early.

Through your generosity, we are able to run proper basketball drills during our physical education block. They are practicing everything from learning how to dribble, pass, and shoot free throws. It's been a joy to watch their skill level improve every time we play.

With this exciting opportunity to have extra basketballs to practice with, I've witnessed students gain more confidence in wanting to play with others during recess time. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kobayashi

On behalf of my class, I'd like to express my deepest gratitude for your kindness and generosity. My students are very excited to have received the additional laptops for our classroom use. They love how easy it is to use the Chromebooks and navigate through the many useful features.
