  • Study of Heroic Refugees

    Funded Aug 24, 2024

It's hard to put into words how grateful I am for your donation to my project. I am committed to providing students with a relevant curriculum that develops lifelong skills, and it is inspiring to see so many others that share my vision for education. The books that you have funded will enable students to engage in discourse about the common human needs we all have: to live with the hope and peace freedom can bring, build connection and empathy with others, and ultimately a place to call home. My hope is that our students will be able to connect with and appreciate the refugees in our world, especially those who are in our communities in a profound way. Thank you once more for your generosity. We can't wait to begin reading and learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Thompson

  • Gifted Kids Engineering & Creativity With 3D Printers!

    Funded Sep 23, 2022

Thank you so much for your support and donations! My students are looking forward to learning the process of 3D printing in depth. These 3D printers and filament will empower students to use and improve their critical thinking and creativity skills. They will learn so much while having fun!

I can't wait to bring this project to my classroom for my students - thanks to all of you! Again, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Thompson

  • Understanding Perspectives and Building Bridges

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

Words seem inadequate to express my gratitude for helping facilitate our dreams of building a better future of understanding and empathetic individuals through literature. I can’t wait to share these new books with so many different students. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generous donation to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Thompson

We strive each day to work on listening to each other and find ways to build bridges of understanding where we can. COVID 19 has been difficult for a variety of reasons for so many students. As my students read books from people with different backgrounds and perspectives, they develop empathy for others. They are also given the opportunity to realize that they can likewise rise to face any challenge they face. All students will have an opportunity to grow with diverse reading materials in ways that will help them learn how to understand themselves, each other, and the world.
