When you are working, do you like to sit in a seat and not move? Do you like to sit in a hard chair? Most people will say no. When I am working at my house I am either sitting on the floor, on my couch or in my bed working on things for school. That is where I work best and how I am most comfortable, so why shouldn't the students in my class have the same opportunities? My students are always asking to sit around the room and work, but since I am a first year teacher, I haven't come up with all the options for flexible seating that I would like too. Through this project, I will be able to give my students more places to sit where they will be most comfortable and be able to do their best work. I currently have 3 "camping chairs" in my room that my students fight over and want to sit in all the time, so why not give them more opportunities?! Not only will these seats give my students opportunities to sit where they would like, but it will also give them more things to take care of in the classroom and teach them responsibility! If the flexible seating doesn't get put away correctly, it won't get to be used the next day.
