• Sand & Water

  Thank you so much for for providing an invaluable resource for my classroom. My students were so excited to receive the new sand and water tables. They also love the new sand tools. We have also used the tables for sensory exploration. The students were excited when I filled them with sensory beads. It created another learning experience for my students. The tables are size appropriate and easy to use and maintain. I am humbled by your generosity and support. Thank you for supporting my vision and classroom”

• It's That Time of Year

  Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and supplying some much needed essentials for the beginning of the school year. The materials helped support my vision of having a well organized welcoming classroom. Students understand the flow of the day, and their classroom jobs using the pocket charts. We also use them for daily attendance. The clear pockets are used to display the student self-portrait and name writing. It allows us to easily access and track progress. All of the material help give me students a sense of ownership in the classroom. I am humble by your generosity and support.”

• Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visits Pre-k

  Funded Apr 15, 2024

  My students loved receiving a virtual visit from Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. They enjoyed learning about plant life in the tropical rainforest and sharing and reviewing what they know about plants. When the planting kit arrived, the students were very excited to plant nodes and bring them home to watch and grew. The large plants were a great way to bring plant life into our classroom. Since another class was not able to join us. We were able to spend the excess funds on additional project material. We got a root viewer. Students enjoyed filling it and planting seeds and are eager to watch the roots develop. We also received a butterfly kit which we will be using to explore the concept of transformation. • Once in a Lifetime

  Thank you so much for supporting my vision to turn the recent solar eclipse into a teachable moment. Unfortunately, the solar glasses were not delivered in time for the event. I am grateful that I was able to purchase replacement classroom materials for my students. I was able to get a few age appropriate games and pretend medical kits for our dramatic play center.

  My students and their families did enjoy reading the book about the solar eclipse. This provided students and their families with some background on an eclipse. My students are thoroughly enjoying the bonus material. I am humbled by your generosity and support.”

• Missing Materials

  Thank you for supporting my classroom and providing missing materials. My students loved all the new materials. The new materials have been used to enhance my students play during center time and has provided my students an opportunity to enhance their play. My students especially loved the musical instruments and the dramatic play cleaning set. Students enjoy using their imagination to sweep, mop, and dust. They love using the "wet floor" sign and toy spray bottle. As a class we have enjoyed using the hula hoops during our daily gross motor time to play games. Thank you for generosity and for supporting my vision.”

• Social Emotional Learning

  Thank you so much for all the new materials to support my students social and emotional learning. My students were excited to explore all the new materials. They love using the materials during center time and throughout the day to self-regulate. It is so important that in the early childhood classroom, we have these materials to help our students with special needs and our ENL students who don't have the language skills to express themselves. These toys give them a voice. It has been amazing to watch the students use these toys during times when they're experiencing big emotions such as rest time. Thank you for supporting my classroom and my vision.”

• Let's Read!

  Thank you for filling my classroom book shelves with new books. My students were very excited to explore the new books. I am so happy to be able to add books on diversity and kindness to my classroom library. I have already read several books as read alouds and my students loved them. I am looking forward to continue to read these books to my students and to incorporate them into my lessons.
