Students will be using these materials to incorporate Science, Technology, Education, and Math into one easy task. Students will be using materials like LEGO's, popsicle sticks with velcro circles, and pipe cleaners to build a a specific structure. Once students have made their structure they will take a step back and look at different ways they can improve their structure, what steps they took to build their structure, what the measurements of their structure are, and what types of two and three dimensional shapes are in their structure. Students will be preparing themselves for future careers. Each material will be in a separate container, and the students will have a chance to build different structures for example, plane, tunnel, bridge, tent, shelf, and castle. Students will be thinking divergently and imaginatively while solving problems with specified constraints and building creative design skills. Students will also be applying their structures to real world designs, and building fine motor skills. Students will also be learning skills that they will be able to carry with them into future careers.
