  • Comfortable and Cozy Seating for Sensational Readers

    Please let me start out by saying a sincere thank you. Your donation has made the strongest of impact in our library. The chairs we had in the library had been here for over thirty years; the new chairs that we received have completely transformed our library. I loved seeing the initial reaction of each child as they saw their new chairs for the first time; it was magical. Our children love reading, and they can finally do so in comfortable chairs that reflect their bright, happy personalities. No longer do I hear the children complain about how uncomfortable the chairs are, but instead they can now focus on reading, learning, exploring and just enjoying the library. I had a big small on my face as I read through the students thank-you notes. It is evident in their writings how much the chairs means to them. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did.

In the library, my students are currently sitting in chairs that are over thirty years old. The library serves as a learning hub with daily lessons targeted at developing a love for reading, and acquiring much needed literacy and 21st-century technology skills. My students will thrive with new comfortable chairs for reading, collaborating and engaging in literacy activities. Students enjoy coming to the library to read and learn; however, the lack of adequate seating is a serious hindrance to their productivity. New chairs will make a huge difference in my students' lives as it will allow them to have comfortable seating to succeed and thrive in.

About my class
