Sharp Pencils = Sharp Minds
Funded Aug 4, 2012Thank you once again for your
generosity. The students were so excited to receive the box of supplies. It's amazing how colored pencils and a
pencil sharpener can put smiles on students' faces, but it sure did. The children were so happy to have a
nice new pencil and couldn't wait to use the sharpener, so they could start
using it. When they saw the
colored pencils they were even more excited and immediately asked, "When can we
use them?" The colored pencils
have sparked creativity in the students' work, helped them focus more attention
to detail, and by drawing out visuals for the topic we are studying, have also
helped them retain the information better. By providing my class with these
essential materials you have helped make learning a more pleasant experience. Thank
you for helping our classroom”

Too Hard! Too Easy! Just Right!
Funded Jan 31, 2012Thank you once again for your generosity. The students were so excited to receive the books and they were even happier when I added them to our classroom library for them to enjoy. Students now have books at their level that they can not only read, but more importantly understand. It's an amazing feeling when a child picks up a book and actually wants to read it because they know that they can. It is very common now to walk into my classroom and hear, "Ms. D, Can I read on the rug?", which was not the case before. You have helped my class love to read. Thank you!”

Funded Jan 26, 2012Thank you for your extreme generosity. The students were thrilled to receive the games and even more excited to start using them. Although they are indeed "learning games" you would never guess it by looking at them playing. They are deeply involved, smiling, and best of all improving their knowledge in both language arts and math while doing so. The games are a wonderful way to put a twist on the traditional way of learning and the students love it. Thank you again for all of your help. We would not have been able to do it without your help”

Funded Aug 30, 2010Thank you so much for your tremendous generosity! The chair pockets have been a life saver in the classroom. We no longer have binders and planners sprawled across the floor and the students are learning to be organized. The pockets fit neatly over the back of the chairs and they have room for more than I expected. Students appreciate them too because their papers and other supplies are not being trampled on and messed up anymore because they can protect them with their seat pocket. Every single person who has come into my room has commented on the brightly colored pockets and asked me where I got them. I told them from generous donors off of donorschoose.org. Thank you once again for giving our classroom organization and safety. =)”

Help Us Save Trees!
Funded Jun 26, 2010Thank you so much for the communicator boards, whiteboard markers, and erasers. The students love them! We have been using them consistently since we received the package, especially in math. The students love to work out the problems with the markers and it's easy for me to ask them to raise the boards so I can see from a distance if they solved them correctly. The days that we don't use them they ask me if we can and they get a little disappointed when I say no. I also like how you can stick a photocopied sheet of paper inside and the students can use it over and over. We have received numerous compliments on the boards from visitors (other teachers, parents, coordinators, administration, etc.). Thank you so much for your generosity. You have helped make learning a little bit more exciting for my students and you have helped me from making copy after copy of the worksheets that we use daily. =) ”

Shhhhh! Kids Working.
Funded Apr 16, 2010The school year is almost over and we have had so much fun using our new headphones and mouse pads. The kids can not wait to get on the computers now that they can have sound with whatever they are working on. It is very comforting to know that my students can use the computers in the classroom, while others are working, without having to worry about distractions. Prior to the headphones, I am sorry to say that the computers didn't get much use, for the simple fact that many of the programs required sound and were too loud for classroom use. We no longer have that problem thanks to you.
The headphones have also been really beneficial in the computer lab for the same reasons, but even more so because they are adjustable, so all grade levels from kinder through 5th and even adults feel comfortable wearing them.
Thank you once again for your support towards education. It is so important for children to learn how to use technology in this day and age and without the proper tools we wouldn't be able to do that in school. Thanks to Cool Math and yourself, my students will now have an upper hand on the world.”

Teacher, Teacher, I'm Done! What Can I Do Now?
Funded Jan 12, 2009Thank you so much for your extreme generosity. I cannot wait to get the Math and Comprehension Game Libraries for my classroom and start putting them to immediate use. In addition to educating the children in a stress-free environment, the games will also help motivate the students to complete their work correctly, so they can get a chance to practice their skills with others on the game boards. This library of games will definitely help boost the interest level of every student in the classroom and motivate them to work harder in class, so the next tine they play they can score more points. I’m so thankful to now have a response the students will appreciate to hear when they ask the ever so common question of, “Teacher, Teacher, I’m done! What can I do now?” I can guarantee that your donation will be put to good use, and that the students will not be able to contain their excitement when we open the package. Thank you once again for giving my students the tools to make them want to continue learning”

Can You Hear Me Now?
Funded Oct 16, 2008Thank you so much for your extreme generosity. I cannot wait to get the "Hear Myself Sound Phones" and start putting them to immediate use. In addition to helping my English Language Learners they will also help my three students, with speech impediments, practice voicing their responses. These phones will definitely help to boost every student's confidence level when giving presentations or even just speaking up in class. I can guarantee that the phones will be put to use every week in reading, writing, and when practicing for oral presentations. Thank you so much for giving my students the tools they need to help build confidence in themselves.
Sincerely,
Sabrin”

Learning Comes To Life With Clay Animation!
Funded Dec 11, 2007Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in funding our classroom proposal. I am positive that the approach of science intertwined with art and technology will help my students retain and understand the material much more than the typical book and lecture would. It will be a wonderful learning experience for all of us and it wouldn't be possible with out people as giving as yourself. I can't wait to get started on this project and share our finished products with you.
Thank you once again,
