Put a Smile on Our Faces
Funded Nov 19, 2020My students had a Smile Put on Their Faces thanks to your generosity. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
My staff and I were able to give each student their own supplies which we put in a zippered canvas bag with a clear cover. It looked beautiful. I cannot even begin to explain how excited they were. Some of the students repeated saying, "is this really for me to bring home".
During these unprecedented times and inconsistency between remote learning, blended learning and on-site learning, my students now have the simple resources they need to be engaged in learning.
You have brought joy to my warm-hearted students.”

Funded Dec 4, 2019My students were so excited when I showed them the books that were given to our class. One of my students said he felt like crying due to the generosity of others. So not only have my students been given the gift of books, they also felt kindness.
Since these books have been displayed in the classroom, during free time many of the children have asked if they can read during free time. The impact has been amazing.
I cannot express my gratitude enough; the gift of knowledge is what I hope to be giving my students and your donation has added to the educational experience in our classroom.
Thank you!”

Funded Nov 11, 2015My students are enjoying everything about your donation. They were extremely excited when they saw me take out the games for their mathematics lesson. The children were eager to break into groups, according to ability, and their behavior was exemplary. Each child was patient and engaged, even when it was not their turn. They counted, added money and read directions with enthusiasm.
When the math period ended my students were disappointed. Some of the students did not want to end playing the games, even though, they were struggling with the concept. It is so amazing to see the progress the students have made while using the games as their math lessons. My students are very hands-on, so being able to handle dollars and cents made adding money authentic. They are extremely thankful for your donation.
As I played the games with the students, I was thinking what a difference this will make in their lives. To be able to handle money accurately will allow them to interact in the community with independence. I feel very successful as a teacher, thanks to your generosity. The next steps will be for the students to make money exchanges, giving and receiving accurate amounts of money when making a payment.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Schaeffner
Time is on Our Side
Funded Dec 18, 2013You have led me to believe there still are truly caring people in the world. To reach out and help underprivileged children is momentous. My students were ecstatic when they saw the manipulatives we received from your generosity. They were motivated to learn to tell time. The hands-on activities keep them engaged while learning by doing. Now, my students look forward to our "telling time" math lessons. Currently, most of the children can tell time to the hour and to the half-hour, a few can tell time to the quarter-hour and the nearest five minutes, while two children can tell time to the precise minute. You have clearly changed the lives of the students in my class. They have learned a life skill and are very proud of their accomplishments.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Schaeffner
