A New Printer, A New School Year
Funded Oct 21, 2023The introduction of a color printer into our classroom has opened up a world of possibilities for enhancing our learning environment. One particularly exciting project involved our "All About Me" activity. With the new color printer, each student was able to create a personalized booklet that included colorful photos, drawings, and text about themselves. This project not only enhanced their creativity but also helped develop their literacy skills and self-awareness.
In addition to individual projects, the color printer has allowed us to create vibrant visual aids that make our lessons more engaging and accessible. For example, during our units of study, we printed out colorful images of different animals and their habitats. These visual aids helped students better understand the material and retain the information more effectively.”

This hands-on project not only enhanced their fine motor skills but also helped them learn about geometric shapes and color mixing. The tactile experience of working with playdough has also been beneficial for sensory development, providing a fun and engaging way for students to explore their creativity and build important foundational skills.
Their eyes lit up with curiosity and joy as they explored the vibrant colors and different textures of the playdough. The students eagerly used the playdough to create everything from animals to imaginary creatures. Their enthusiasm and creativity were heartwarming to witness. Funded Oct 14, 2021As our classroom embraced the wonders of our new sensory materials, a dimension of learning unfolded before us. The impact was profound, as the sensory materials not only stimulated creativity but also played a crucial role in helping our students develop essential self-regulation skills. There was some serious engagement too!
During center time, the sensory corner came alive with a delightful array of textures, colors, and scents. Soft pillows, squishy balls, sandboxes, and scented playdough awaited eager hands. For some students, the sensory materials provided an avenue to release pent-up energy, while for others, it became a calming oasis amid the hustle and bustle of the classroom.

Play With Dough? For Real Though!
Funded Sep 13, 2021My students LOVE the materials we got from this project being funded. You really have made our 3K students so happy and excited. Everyday, our students play with sensory materials. As you might know, sand, clay and play dough can sometimes end up all over the place - it's one of those things that need to be replenished every so often. When I opened the boxes the students shouted with joy. I could see the happiness and excitement in their eyes. Thank you for your dedication to our classroom and our students. You've really made our center time more fun!”

Funded Sep 13, 2021WOW! When my students saw the See and Store Book baggie pouches they were all so excited! We really appreciate your donations. This project being funded has really helped preserve the books and materials we send home.
We have used the book baggies so many times already this year. We've used them for lending library books, take home projects and even to transport art materials. It has been a life saver, keeping our 3K students organized and prepared!
We love how they are transparent and we can easy see if a note has been placed inside by a parent, and we can see the materials students are bringing back and forth. Clearly, the pouched assure that the books and papers we send home are protected. No more ripped book covers or wet pages from the rain!
Thanks so much! YOU ROCK!”

Mr. Crisafi
