STEAM with iPads!
Funded Oct 4, 2019Thank you so much for making a difference in my students lives. Working at Title I school, many of my students do not have access to technology at home. Giving them the opportunity to explore the world through these iPads are beyond what I can express in words.
Students are giving up their recess time to come into the classroom because they want to use the iPads. They came up with the rules to set up a timer so everyone can get a chance to use the iPads fairly. Students are working cooperatively to earn more time to use the iPad in the classroom.
Having the iPad in the classroom has changed the classroom environment so much. Students are learning how to be patient, how to work cooperatively, and it helps me to reinforce positive behavior to my students. Thank you for allowing these changes in my classroom by donating the iPads. We really appreciate your help.”

Funded Oct 31, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation. The iPad's that have been donated to my classroom are being used in various ways. Students have used the iPad's to research on a topic for their opinion essay, logged into educational websites to review the skills they are learning for the week, and also practiced their multiplication facts on xtramath.com.
These iPad's have become a very useful resource in my classroom for those who do not have access to computers or technology at home. With so much technology being used in our lives, we want to make sure that all students are able to use technology. These iPad's have been their resource to use during recess and after school hours to help them with their school work. Students know that they can always rely on these iPad's to help them on their research if they have an assignment due.
Thank you for allowing my students to use these devices to keep up with the fast changing world. Our students would be limited if it wasn't for your generous donation. Once again, thank you very much, and happy holidays.”

Funded Nov 29, 2017Every time boxes were delivered to my classroom, my students were questioning me what was in the box. I kept all the boxes in one corner of the classroom until we received all of our packages. I started opening one box at a time, and by the time we were done opening all the boxes, students were screaming and cheering on top of their lungs. Students were so excited that they can now go out to P.E. and actually use different equipments other than a soccer ball.
Students helped me take the equipments out from the plastic bags and put them into the mesh bags that were delivered. They worked well in groups as they were chit-chatting about which equipment they like the best and why. Students were eager to learn about the skills that were being introduced with each lesson, and had a blast! We have students who play baseball, so they were willing to model how to throw when we used the Scoop Ball Sets. They were explaining how to hold the ball, when to let go of the ball, and what angle their arm has to be in. They were working well in groups, taking turns, and giving each other high fives. It was amazing to see students so engaged in learning and having fun.
We didn't get a chance to use all the equipments yet due to winter break and rain, but we will be using them every Wednesdays when we go outside for P.E. Students know that we go out for P.E. on Wednesdays, but they have been asking me EVERYDAY... which allows me to get them to finish their work on time!
Thank you so much for bringing this positive energy into my classroom. These equipments have changed the way students think about physical education now. We will learn new skills and practice to get students ready for their Physical Examination in 5th grade. Thank you once again.”

Funded Oct 5, 2017My students have been asking me if we can do Daily 5 small groups everyday because they couldn't wait to use the iPads that were donated to our classroom. About 1/3 of my students do not have access to computers or any technology at home so with these iPads stationed in the classroom, they were very excited to be able to use them.
With limited technology in the classroom, and at our school, we were able to use the computers once a week when we go to the lab. With the new Benchmark Advanced Language Arts curriculum, we have to incorporate researching into our lessons, which made it very difficult. But with these iPads in the classroom, we were given an opportunity to use them in small groups to help with the research.
Even though we still do not have enough iPads in the classroom, these 2 iPads have been a game changer. Students are learning to work in groups, and are getting better at teamwork. Students love playing educational games to reinforce the standards that we are learning in class. They also use the iPads to help them review for Math and Language Arts assessments, and are learning how to use apps like keynote to present their ideas and learnings.
Thank you very much for your support. We really appreciate your help. Wishing you happy holidays and peaceful new year.”

iCan learn with iPads!
Funded Oct 20, 2015Thank you so much for funding iCan learn with iPads! My students were so excited to hear the news that they will be getting iPads to use in the classroom. My classroom doesn't have any computer for students to use so they use these iPads everyday for learning. Students use the iPads to practice typing (getting ready for SBAC assessments in April!), playing educational games, and use the dictionary app to help them with grammar.
These days, we are spending a lot of our time learning about fractions. It is a hard concept for students but they get really excited looking for equivalent fractions and simplifying using apps installed on these iPads. These iPads have made learning so much fun for my students that they are soaring high! Students work extra hard when I tell them that they will be using iPads during IWT because they want to be the first ones to use it!
Once again, thank you so much for making learning fun for these kids, and giving them chances to use technology. You are preparing our future generation with tools that they need in order to succeed. Thank you!!!”

Funded Jan 26, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donations to my classroom. The portable CD player for our listening center and CD player for our classroom has already been in great use with my students. We listen to songs everyday when we work in our desks and it brings lots of smiles to the students' face every time I play a song. They get really excited if they hear a song that they know and they start singing and dancing. I wish I could capture that moment to share with you! Students love going to their listening center. They ask me every morning if I put out a new story and activities for them. The CD player has made learning so much fun for them and I just wanted to let you know that we really appreciate all of your support and help.”
