My students are amazing. They come to me from broken homes, they come to me from foster homes, they come to me with severe emotional distress, and they come to me knowing that the 8 hours they spend with me each day will probably be the only consistency in their chaotic lives. However, they also come to me with smiles on their faces. These students are hungry to learn; they are eager to read anything they can get their hands on; they are excited to learn about the world around them, and they are simply passionate about life.
