Math Games That Help Skills Stick!
Funded May 5, 2021Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. These materials came just in time for my students to review all of the math skills they have learned before the school year ended. They LOVED playing the games with their friends and it was a great way for them to practice all that they had learned this year. Clumsy Thief is one of their favorites! These resources are great hands-on materials that I cannot wait to continue using in my classroom year after year. They have helped my students learn how to play with others, use their higher-order thinking skills and become leaders among their peers; all skills they have lacked due to this crazy school year. Funded Dec 16, 2020Thank you so much for the donation you made to my classroom. We finally got around to being about to play with the dramatic play toys you provided and they were a hit! The students had so much fun and were able to practice valuable social and academic skills while playing. They have asked everyday since if we can use them again. This year has put a little bit of a strain of the social development of my students and the exposure they have had while playing has helped them begin to develop these skills. I can't wait to use them more and watch my students grow and learn through play!”

Funded Sep 17, 2020My students LOVE the toys that you have provided for our classroom. They are so excited to come into the classroom every morning and play with one of their new favorite toys. The Lite-Brite is a BIG hit! Everyone loves creating pictures and words to show me everyday. They also really enjoy the peg boards and Mr. Potato Head. As they are playing with their toys every morning, they don't realize they are also strengthening their fingers. I have seen an improvement already in their ability to grasp their pencil and hold their scissors all thanks to their fine motor skills be strengthened. Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom, you are helping my students create memories and have fun all while improving their fine motor skills and their learning along the way!”

My students have loved seeing themselves in the books that we are reading, they are asking to read them again and again. We Learn Best When We Play
Funded Aug 23, 2019My students love all of the new toys you have provided for my classroom! Every morning they come in and are so excited to play. Play is such a crucial time for a child's development, and with so many options, they are able to work on so many different valuable skills. These toys have helped them practice real life skills like checking out at a grocery store. Through the use of these toys my students have developed fine motor skills and have learned to work together. They love when we have indoor recess because that means more time with their favorite toys! Thank you so much for your generosity, there are 19 smiling faces who thank you!”

We Can Learn So Much From Books
Funded Aug 8, 2019My students love the new books we have received! I read them during read aloud time and my students were so engaged. They loved learning about feelings, community helpers and different cultures through these books. The best part is that after we learn and read the books as a class, they get to continue exploring them during read to self time. They love reading time because they get to open one of their new favorite books to continue learning. Thank you for giving me students new books to help them learn!”

We Need to Listen to Learn
Funded Jul 10, 2019These headphones have really made a difference in my student's learning! They are super comfy and easy for my students to access during centers. They are also very durable which is so nice because they get dropped a lot in my classroom. I have them right near my ipad cart and students know to just grab a pair and get to work. Having a class set is so helpful because it allows all of my students to have headphones to use. These have made it so nice this year and I can't wait to see them help my students learn as the year goes on. Thanks again!”

Funded May 13, 2019The bookshelf you have provided for my students has truly made reading more exciting for my students! It fits perfectly in my classroom library and they love how they are able to see their favorite books easily displayed. We are using it as a way to display our read aloud books and students are so excited when they go to read and they can easily find a book they wanted to read by themselves. I also allow students to put their favorite books on the bookshelf that they think other students might also enjoy. This bookshelf has allowed my students to take ownership of their reading and they really are so excited about reading and I can't wait to see how it continues to impact them throughout the school year. Thank you so much for helping my students become excited independent readers!”

Funded Aug 13, 2019My students love the new rugs in our classroom! We have one in our classroom library and one in our ipad center and they provide such a comfy space for my students to learn. When they saw them, they were in awe and could not wait to sit on them and get to work! The hand print rug has allowed me to expand the space in my classroom library. Now I can have more students reading at a time with more comfortable places for them to sit and enjoy reading. The art carpet also gives my students room to sit comfortably while working on the ipads as well. They love how soft it is, and they love sitting on it while they learn. The bright and fun colors have made my classroom look more inviting and friendly. These rugs have truly made my classroom a better place for my students and I am so thankful for your generosity to make it possible!”
