Fun With Fine Motor!
Funded Mar 30, 2017I received these fine motor resources at the end of last school year. My students were so excited when the packages arrived and could not wait to get a chance to use them. I unpacked the resources and put them in plastic containers for students to take home for fine motor practice. The children and parents in my class absolutely loved them. This year, I am lucky enough to have the materials from the start and we have already begun using the resources in the classroom. I am very excited to see the growth of my students' fine motor skills due to these wonderful resources.”

Funded Dec 15, 2016I have never seen the children in my classroom so excited to learn. It is hard for young children to sit for long periods of time so I wanted to tie in technology to get them moving and more engaged. The Heidi Songs discs that we have received from this project contain short songs that are very catchy and go along with the kindergarten curriculum. This technology is helping my students learn because they are so engaged and having fun while the learning is taking place. I constantly catch the children singing to themselves and applying the songs to their activities around the classroom.
These discs do a wonderful job transforming hard activities for students such as remembering sight words, into exciting songs that they want to listen and dance to all day long. The product is also exciting for the students because they use silly characters that they love watching. The songs and motions that go along with the songs also help the children in my classroom remember how to spell or do math problems. I will often times catch a child singing the songs or doing the motion that follows to figure out how to do activities in the classroom.
All of the students in my classroom have warmed up to this new technology. They love using songs in the classroom and are excited to take them home to share with their parents and siblings. I am absolutely thrilled with how these discs have made the learning in my classroom even more fun and engaging.”
