  • Animal Action

    Funded Sep 18, 2018

Thank you so much for funding our project! Our class is using our new puppets for our dramatic play center. They have had so much fun creating their own plays and then acting them out using the puppets. These puppets have also been a wonderful way to help us practice the importance of how to be a good audience member. We are very excited to go see a play for a field trip later on in the year and our own puppet shows have been great practice. The children now realize how much work it takes to practice and then perform in front of peers.”

  • Digital Storytelling!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your generosity. Your support means the world to me. Thank you for helping my students engage in reading through technology. Our Digital Storytelling project has made my students so excited and much more engaged in reading. This project has also helped my students learn how to use technology that they are surrounded by in their daily lives. We use our iPads and the software from this project during our daily five centers. It makes for a very fun and exciting learning environment. Thank you for making our classroom an exciting and inviting place for my students to learn and grow.”

  • Organized Art!

    Funded May 24, 2018

Thank you very much for your generosity ! It has been wonderful to have an organized spot to file away my student's artwork. I love having a portfolio of the artwork we completed throughout the school year. This will be such a wonderful way to see student growth. At the end of the year, I am excited to look through student work and see the growth in fine motor skills and details. My organized art project has been so helpful to keep my student's work organized and in a safe spot. Thank you for all that you do!”

  • Kinder Coding!

    Funded Apr 19, 2018

Thank you all very much for your generosity! My students were so excited to start coding in Kindergarten! We practiced using it in our classroom in small groups. We had children who loved it so much that they decided to use the coding toys for any free time opportunity that we had. Another group of my students practiced using the materials and we had the principal come down so that we could teach her. Lastly, we video taped the students coding and shared it with the rest of our school at a school wide assembly. Coding in Kindergarten is a hit!”

  • Look What's Cooking in Kindergarten!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your generosity! The excitement that filled our room that Monday morning after the materials were delivered was like nothing I've ever heard. The children were beyond excited and still till this day, cannot believe how lucky we are to have such an awesome play area. That morning, I had a student even come over to me and tell me that it was "the best day ever!" Thanks to you, my students are excited to come to school everyday and have the opportunity to learn to interact with their peers through play.”

  • Totally Awesome Take Home Kits!

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Thank you so much for all of your donations to get this project funded! My students have absolutely loved their new take home kits! They were so excited when they saw the new pouches and boxes sitting in front of the classroom. They also love being able to choose what activities they want to work on with their family. My favorite part of this project is that it has built a bridge between home and school. My students get to share with their friends and family what we do in the classroom and get to engage in fun and exciting activities at home.”

  • Tap, Tap, Learn

    Funded Dec 13, 2017

Thank you so much for all of your help funding this project! Having a set of ipads has really made it possible to differentiate my instruction and make it meaningful. Along with the ability to create assignments that reach my students individual needs directly, my students are one hundred percent engaged when the ipads are involved with the activities assigned. The most exciting thing for my students is that they have tangible items that link directly to the ipads. This type of learning really helps my students absorb the information being taught.”

  • Teaching With Technology

    Funded Jan 29, 2018

Thank you so much for the Bee-Bots! It is incredible to see the engagement and focus from my students when I use these resources for centers. These resources have allowed for my students to use their teamwork and critical thinking skills to excel in group work. They have also been practicing using their grit and pushing forward when they do not get it the first time, instead of just giving up. These skills along with this technology that they are using, will help my students be successful inside and outside of the classroom.”

  • Tolerance With Technology

    Funded Sep 3, 2017

My class absolutely love their new ipads. They could not even believe that they get to use them during our centers. These ipads have helped me differentiate my classroom instruction to fit the needs of my students individual needs. During centers, my students use the ipads for Google Classroom, a website where I can push out digital assignments, books on tape, math and literacy apps, and take pictures of their word work which helps to hold students accountable for their work. The best part about the ipads is that the students always think that they are playing a game and enjoy the work that they are doing. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and made the differentiated instruction possible!”

  • Teaching Tolerance

    Funded Aug 24, 2017

Thank you so much for your generosity! With your help, I was able to get all of the books for our Kinder Literacy program. Part of Kinder Literacy is having a theme for each week that follows along with the books. For each theme, we practice a poem, vocabulary words, a directed drawing, inferring, and questioning skills. I am then able to plan our daily centers and incorporate the weekly theme.

Last week, we learned all about Veteran's and my students had a deeper understanding at the end of the week as to why we had a Veteran's Day assembly. They are able to better empathize because they have a deeper understanding and books that they can relate to. After reading the book, one of my students said, "Ms. Greene, they have done so much for us, now what are we going to do for our Veterans."

The books that I have received through this project have so many wonderful life lessons for my students. It's amazing to see how these books are allowing my students to better understand their peers and their community around them. These lessons have truly taught my students tolerance.”

Having educational dvd's will help my students dance, sing, and move while learning grade level standards. As five year olds, my students need movement throughout the day. Taking two or three minutes before a lesson to participate in an educational song, will really help them take a brain break and refocus. Working with parents to make a team that wants the best for their child is very important to me. Many parents do not know how to approach school work with young children who are tired, and are not wanting to work more after a long day of school. I want to be able to send these resources home to make that tie between home and school fun. These children are surrounded by technology and by purchasing these dvd's for my classroom, I would be incorporating what my children love most, in an educational way that involves the family.
