Our elementary school is home to 800 students that come to us from diverse racial, ethnic, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds. While our school strives to utilize various technological resources, many of my first grade students do not have access to technology at home. If you step into our STEM classroom, you will meet a class of learners and leaders -ranging from ages 5-6 - that approach learning as curious and enthusiastic individuals. My students enjoy and appreciate all opportunities that allow them to share their creativity and powerful ideas with each other, as well as chances to explore content through hands-on approaches. Inviting interactive and engaging technology and STEM tools into our classroom will further encourage their infectious curiosity and eagerness to learn about the world around them.
