It is a common known fact that children like to, and need to, MOVE! When students enter a classroom, they are asked and expected to complete tasks throughout their day that challenge their thinking and require focus over long periods of time. The addition of these Zenergy Ball Chairs will provide an alternative, flexible seating option for students that allows for movement, while strengthening core muscles, good posture and ultimately promoting higher levels of concentration. It is all about the engagement in their own learning! I encourage my students to take pride in their work, challenge their own thinking and develop an intrinsic, meaningful motivation for learning. I consider it to be my responsibility to provide them with an environment that allows each and every child to do so with as little obstructions as possible. According to Safco, the producers of the Zenergy Ball Chairs, this seating option provides an active seating experience that encourages good posture, core muscle strength and helps to increase concentration. Students are often times working in a small group setting at their appropriate level of instruction. These moments of our day are some of the most vital to their learning, filled with differentiated and purposeful instruction. By providing a seating alternative for this time of the day, students will be able to increase concentration, attention and focus during the most critical moments of learning they will experience during their day in the classroom!
