  • Literacy and Creativity In the Classroom

    The more years I teacher, the more I begin to realize that teaching isn’t something that teachers alone can do. We rely on the support from folks like you to keep us going. And that’s both a sad and happy thing because it means that education isn’t funded like it should be and also it means that there are still folks out there who are willing to support teachers in a time when we aren’t always supported. For me, as an art teacher, being supported by folks you is an especially beautiful thing because it means that not only do you value and support me as a teacher but it means that you value and support the arts.   • Art Supplies Emergency!

    Thank you so much for your donations. With the supplies and materials that you've donated to the class, my students were able to work on many of their projects and will be able to use the supplies on many future projects.

    When I told my students that I was able to get the project funded, they almost didn't believe that people cared enough to donate that many materials for them to use. They were so excited when the packages came in and were even more excited when they got to use their new paintbrushes for their projects. I think they were more happy about the fact that my friends, family and even complete strangers cared about them.
