Self Care & Cooking
Funded Jan 13, 2023Your donation was able to help build up the cooking club at Raub and allow me to provide some flexible seating for the classroom.
Over the past couple of months our cooking club has created so many different treats to share with our school now that we have access to ovens, hot plates, and the mixer. The possibilities are endless now that we have the three items to create endless possibilities of deliciousness.
The flexible seating that was part of this project was also a huge step in the right direction for my classroom and kiddos. Students are more engaged and focussed while using the different seating options.”

Flexible Seating Is Where It's At
Funded Nov 16, 2022Thank you for helping me add flexible seating options to my classroom! The seating has been a great addition to my classroom. I have noticed a positive change in many students. In particular I have many students that are fidgety and they now quietly bounce up and down on the donut seats while working on their work. They seem happier and more engaged in my lessons and I am so thankful for that! The seats were another piece that helped create a more calm and comfortable classroom environment for both my students and myself. Thank you so much!”

A Little Bit Of Everything
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much, from getting this project fully funded I was able to get newer classroom supplies like the book bins, new pencil sharpeners, and bowls and cooking supplies for my baking club.
Since this project was funded it seems that more things are falling into place with the cooking club and we have gained new members and started making bigger and better things. Your contributions helped the cooking club grow so much but also just make the classroom a nicer and more relaxed place. It sounds silly, but new pencil sharpeners, already sharpened pencils, and new dry erase markers make the day so much less stressful when weird little things go wrong throughout the day! Your help was very much appreciated!!”

Funded Nov 29, 2022The cricut machine and and tools have become such a great addition to my classroom. I have been able to create things for instruction use and for clubs, I haven't used it to make t shirts yet, however we are planning on making t shirts for the cooking club in the near future. getting crafty is an understatement for this project, we are getting super creative. I plan on using the cricut with the cooking club to make a cookbook for our students. The possibilities are endless and I am so thankful for the privilege to have this machine in my classroom”

Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for supporting my project for the new colored printer! It has been a blessing to have in the classroom for both regular instruction and the after school clubs I facilitate. During class I like to do a lot of classroom scavenger hunt activities where I print out the pieces of paper with math problems and place them all over the room. Then the students search for them and fill out the answers. Being able to use the printer has made them brighter and a more fun activity, instead of having to look at plain black and white pieces of paper all the time. I also have used the printer to print out all of the covers for my baking club's cook books. The cook books look absolutely amazing and the kids were so excited when they saw that they were printed out in color! Thank you for your generosity!”

Funded Oct 17, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to newer books for my classroom library. I have noticed that since the books came in, more students have been asking to borrow books and have picked up books when they have free time. My students have also chose to read over going on online games when given the option now. The books that are on their reading level was an awesome step in the right direction to help blossom their love for reading. With your support I was also able to sort through the books that I had and donate some of the other older books I had to classrooms that didn't have any books in them.”

Funded Sep 8, 2022Thank you so much for helping me make my classroom a loving, and safe environment for my students. This project created a better learning environment. All of the hygiene products stay in a cabinet in the back of my room and when ever a student needs something they know where to go. I will have students who I don't even have in my classes come and ask for stuff because their friends told them I have it for everyone. It feels awesome to be that go to person for my students and thanks to your contributions we made that happen!!”

Hungry Minds Can't Focus
Funded Aug 19, 2022The snacks were great! The students were so excited to have these snacks. When ever a student said they were hungry I was able to provide some snacks for them so that they didn't have to go hungry all day. I was able to create a safe and warm environment for all students. The best part about these snacks was that when the school was in a lock down out of precaution due we were locked in my classroom for more than two hours and way passed lunch time. I was able to offer a snack to every one of the students that were in my classroom. I appreciate all of the support that you helped provide for my students!!”

Funded Jul 27, 2022I am so blessed and honored to receive help with purchasing my books from the "Creating a Classroom of Equity" project
I am spending the last couple of weeks of summer gearing up for my first year in the classroom and am planning to use what I learn in my teaching. Some of the books were books that I found to be very interesting looking and thought would help me on my journey as an educator in an inner city school.
Two of the books are for my Masters studies at Kutztown University. I am pursuing a Masters in Multicultural education, with a concentration in Equity. I decided to choose this major with the concentration in particular, because I knew that working at a school in the city is where I belong. I grew up in a similar way to some of the students that I have, and from that background I know they can get overlooked sometimes. I wanted to make sure that as an educator I never make that mistake and support them in any and every way that I can!
Your contribution is making a huge impact on an amazing school and group of kids by allowing me to learn more about how I can best support my students and we all appreciate you for that!”
