  • Let Them Hear!

    Funded May 5, 2020

    I am very thankful for your kindness and generosity. We have been able to use the headphones for our blended learning websites. Our school provides students with IReady reading and math which allows student to work at their individual levels and grow. Students are able to hear their assignments and focus, rather than having to hear everyones computer. The headphones have also assisted in providing a quiet testing environment. Technology is beneficial in a classroom, and the headphones have elevated it. Thank you for all your support!”

  • Classroom Printer

    Funded Dec 6, 2019

    Thank you for so graciously giving to our classroom. The printer has impacted our students in so many ways. Firstly, I believe that young students need a classroom that is bright and colorful. My school does not have color printers for the teachers to use. I have been able to transform my focus walls with color pictures, and posters. Secondly, my students have started to learn how to type their final draft paragraphs, and then print them. They are so excited that they get to be like the authors they read and have their work printed. Thank you so much! I truly appreciate the generosity.”

As a teacher in a low-income high poverty school district, my students are faced with several obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Most of my kindergarten students have not attend a preschool setting before getting to me. I have also found that the majority of my students have not been exposed to books, this directly effects my instruction as I have to teach basic reading behaviors first. I love to see my students smile when they have successes, nothing else compares to that feeling.

About my class
