I am requesting fun and interactive games to help teach literacy and math concepts in my kindergarten classroom. The attention span of a kindergarten is rather short. In order to engage them lessons must be interactive and hands on. Each item selected focuses on multiple skills that are important for the success of the kindergarten student. I have selected each activity with the purpose of increasing the academic success of all students. During center time children need to be engaged in independent learning without being distracted. With hands on activities engagement will increase and beahvior issues should be eliminated. The activities also allow for easy differentiation. My students will be given the opportunity to work in groups and have fun while learninthe necessary literacy and math skills necessary for their success.
