Books to Build Classroom Culture
Funded Oct 23, 2020Amazing books stimulate our hearts and minds! My students are stimulating their minds each morning as we read our collection of books centered on social emotional topics. My students are learning empathy, cultural differences, respect, and so much more! I am so thankful for your support in providing my students with access to meaningful texts that spark our much needed conversations. The love of reading is a gift and I can keep giving this gift each day through these books and the discussions that arise with my students. Your donation makes a huge impact on my students, families and myself. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Funded Sep 2, 2020You deserve a standing ovation for your support in me... teaching from home is a whole new ballgame and these tools are making a huge impact on my students! I have been a teacher for close to 20 years and could never before imagine this new norm!
With this fantastic donation I was able to buy staple items that makes teaching from home exciting, visual, and bring teaching alive online.
My class is slowly adjusting to this new norm. I feel like I can give them my best with the big visual aid of the white board, colored markers and the lined magnetic writing template. My success is going to be a lot of "thanks" due to you, the donors who have helped me create this out of the norm classroom!”

Funded May 13, 2020Thank you for choosing my classroom to grace with your amazing donation! We are enjoying learning and thriving through building our language skills. My classroom is excited and eager to use our learning booklets and language building books each day we can.
I know that I am lucky to have your support and I tell the students about Donors Choose and how we were picked to be so lucky! I received this funding way back in the spring right when COVID hit and so our shipment was put on hold for many months. We have just been able to be back in the classroom and receive the donated tools.
This year will be like no other with hybrid learning happening and all of the changes for our families. But, learning will be fun and plentiful this year!
One thing that is for sure, we are thankful and grateful to you!”

Funded Apr 6, 2020Thank you for being so gracious and your donations to my classroom! My classroom is thriving opportunities to be creative, imaginative, and grow.
This project was funded just prior to the COVID shutdown delaying my ability to receive my project supplies. As we opened up just a few weeks ago I have found ways to give the marble run STEM activities to my students to work on for the 2 days they are in class, then sanitize and prepare for use with the opposite cohort. It is not my original plan of cooperative activities but the joy of building and creativity using these supplies is evident in my students faces. They are looking forward to the next day and having the opportunity to complete their project in class! Thank you for believing in my vision and making it a beautiful reality.”

Meaningful Educational Center Activities
Funded May 13, 2020Meaningful learning centers has become a great success in my classroom from the start! My students and I truly appreciate this gift of making learning fun, accessible, and fun nagging.
Because of COVID things did not go as planned... I had originally received funding way back in March, but schools shut down supplies were not sent out until just recently. we started online and now we have gone back in person in cohorts, with social distancing in place. This experience has been challenging as a teacher but the learning centers actually worked out so well for hands on tools that I could alternate with the proper sanitization and quarantine time between each cohort.
I am grateful to my donors for helping me bring learning alive through your generous donations.”

Funded Sep 2, 2020Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations! Teaching from home has it's challenges especially when it is first grade. This grade level is a tough one no matter the circumstances so adding the online factor has really been a learning curve for me as a teacher. Luckily the TPT store online has so many talented teachers who sell their fantastic lessons so that I may continue providing the best teaching possible no matter where I am. This donation gave me the ability to purchase quality lessons that the students can turn in online for me to see and give feedback... without leaving our homes during this pandemic. Teaching has taken a huge turn here in the past year and I am changing with the times!
My students find these activities exciting and engaging. I cannot find enough time for everything they throw at us these days so using TPT for lessons has improved my ability to teach online as well as back in the classroom now. I thank you for believing in me and helping me to give the students what they deserve... a fantastic education from anywhere!”

Funded May 13, 2020Math is fun! My first grade students love math... and a huge reason is the help of these math work books for the students to work in during center time. The math work books are very helpful in providing extra practice for each student and they can go at their own pace. Plus, they are so excited to take them home when we finish!
The science readers provide non-fiction reading and activities that are fun while learning! Each student keeps their magazine at their desk and can re-read the articles after we cover the topic. This ownership of their own magazine that they can write in and keep has been a huge success.
Our first graders are over the moon at having these booklets in their desks and to keep when we finish. It has become extra handy due to the rules with COVID and providing tools for students that do not need to be shared. We are extremely lucky to have been granted these science and math readers for each of our students.
Thank you!”

Funded May 13, 2020As a teacher and a lover of reading, I have always wanted to offer a cozy place to enjoy life's best free time choice- reading! I am passionate about reading and books of all types... I bring this passion to my classroom and students each year with guso!
The reading/listening center provides just that place to sit and relax with a book while you listen and read along.
Unfortunately, when this project funded, COVID hit hard on our country... we did not get our hands on this awesome listening center couch until just recently as all funded items were put on hold. Our schools just opened back up for a modified schedule allowing us to be able to use our new tools while practicing social distancing and other measurements to stay safe. My classroom has been opened up for the kids to come in cohorts twice a week for each... we can use the couch currently with 1 child per day but it is surely providing joy and I have to draw names each day to keep it fair. Everyone wants listening center on their center time!
Although school is not back to normal, I am overjoyed at being able to offer a safe, fun, and enjoyable place for my students to learn and grow. This listening center provides that feeling of "special" that makes it a huge hit for all students in my class, thank you!”

Funded May 13, 2020A huge thank you is due from myself and my students to you! I am overjoyed with this new way of engaging my students in STEM activities that meet standards as well as make kids want to learn. Legos are such a big hit with my age group of students and so it is no surprise that coding with Legos has become the favorite activity in the classroom.
Unfortunately, when this project funded, COVID hit hard on our country... we did not get our hands on these awesome teaching tool until just recently as all funded items were put on hold. Our schools just opened back up for a modified schedule allowing us to be able to use our new tools while practicing social distancing and other measurements to stay safe. My classroom has been opened up for the kids to come in cohorts twice a week for each... when they saw the lego stations they were overjoyed! Being back in school under such restricted rules has been challenging but I have been able to provide them some "recess" time with coding legos for each table to work on a small project. Since they cannot play together at recess, we are using the legos even more in class.
I can say that my students are beyond blessed as am I to have Coding Legos STEM activities in the classroom that build the mind and provide joy!”

Funded Aug 6, 2020Thank you for helping me provide the best teaching possible in this remote learning environment we have been thrust into for the 2020-2021 school year. I am beyond grateful to you, my donors, for your positive and uplifting support to my endeavor. I will be teaching in a new way and learning as the students are learning as well. This will be a challenge for us all, but these white board supplies will be so beneficial to getting my teaching into my students homes.
Although this back to school time will be different than any other, I feel prepared and positive as I plan to meet my students online very soon. I am so ready to meet my kids!”
