  • Organized Art Station

    Funded Jan 7, 2021

Thank you for supporting my class in our goal for organization with our art supplies and projects. My students were extremely excited to see these new supplies in action. This has made a world of difference in our ability to seamlessly go from our lessons to our projects saving time as well. Art is an unbelievably amazing tool to bring our lessons alive from the creative side. My students and I can have a one stop shop for our projects with the rolling cart and the cart topper as well the supplies. Thank you for being a superhero to my class!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Baima

  • Keep Learning From Home Interesting

    Funded Dec 12, 2020

Thank you for supporting me in providing the best for my students! As we work online for much of this year, keeping the learning invigorating and fun is top of my list. As these first graders navigate their foundational year I am providing lessons that are aligned to the standards and that support my teaching. TPT offers so many amazing choices that are made by teachers and it supports them in turn! I use TPT lessons each day for their assigned work and the students are happily engaged. I can see their learning flourish through the online content and I can give feedback when needed. Thank you again for helping me reach each student at home for distance learning!”

  • Cricut Craft Maker Part 1

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

The cricut maker is a dream come true for our class! Our abilities to make art projects and make beautiful cards and gifts for our families is incredible. The cricket maker is also great because I am able to make personalize gifts for my students and the volunteers to help out so very much. I am able to customize bulletin boards in my classroom and do special personalized artwork for the student memory books. We I really rockin with this cricut! Donors, thank you for helping make this year so much more exciting well we navigate one of the hardest times of our lives.”

  • Art Is a Gift!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

My students feel the overwhelming stress of this pandemic every day as they sit in their homes learning online with me. We are trying to make the best of this time and Art Is A Gift is a part of what is good! As we meet online each day and work so very hard, doing these art projects are such a positive to the week. My students feel proud and show off their work on our online platform called Seesaw. I can feel their proud smiles radiating through their pictures and words of gratitude for the projects I have mailed to them. We have also done a craft supply pick up at our main office and this was a fun time to wave to my students in their cars as they did the drive by. Thanks for making this year have the joy of art for my online class!”

  • Good Tech for Teaching From Home

    Funded Nov 18, 2020

A good computer is key for distance learning. I am learning new ways to engage my students each day during our year of distance learning, and my computer issues really stood in the way. Now, I have been able to see my students while teaching at the same time and I am able to download content to share with them during our meets. I know that this reliable computer is giving me back precious teaching time because it is capable of the tasks I do during our GoogleMeets. I feel confident and capable in my teaching when I have the proper tools and your generosity in funding my project is the reason! Thank you so very much!”

  • You've Got Mail!

    Funded Nov 24, 2020

I love mail! My student are learning the meaning of snail mail this year as we learn from our homes in distance learning. I am so thrilled to say that the students loved their first round of snail mail from me. They had a huge smile when they showed me, on GoogleMeet, the letter I sent and the stickers and bookmark I included in their first package. Seeing this happiness on a first graders face is truly heartwarming! Sending mail doesn't seem like a big deal but this project has truly made an impact on my student's mental health and has sparked an interest in mailing letters to others.”

  • Read Alouds for Pleasure

    Funded Nov 23, 2020

My class is over the moon excited about our morning read alouds and discussions. We are making the most of these new ways of learning from home and good stories really help. My class loves to see what our morning story will be and the activity we will do in connection. I believe this is forming a bond even though we are not able to be together. My students are learning empathy, cultural differences, love and struggles, and of course we have lots of laughs! The best thing is that each book can take us to a new place even when we cannot leave our own homes. We thank you for these wonderful books!”

  • Really Great Read Alouds

    Funded Nov 26, 2020

Really great read alouds can make the day start off great in any classroom... even online! We are currently online, but the stories are creating a bond for us as each day. We laugh, we cringe, we even cry, we discuss the detail and the meanings of these stories together. Then, we share! We share our stories and our thoughts with each other and find common ground. My students are 6 or 7 and so although experiences vary, these stories give us experiences to share with each other through this tough time of distance learning. My students are so thankful for our meaningful mornings with really great books!”

  • Learning Online

    Funded Nov 14, 2020

Thank you for donating to my project! My students and I are sending our thanks to you and we want you to know we are so happy. I have been able to purchase exciting activities for my students to accomplish in distance learning. We play games such as Boom Cards in language arts and math. We also do learning quests purchased from TPT on thematic topics each week that improve our language arts skills.

Thank you for supporting my class with online, digital lessons to bring excitement and variety to our online classroom each day.”

  • Document Camera Needed For Live Online Teaching

    Funded Nov 6, 2020

As I am sure you know, teaching and learning online has its struggles. We are taking it in stride and finding new ways each day to keep the learning strong, engaging, and as fun as we can. The document camera has made a huge impact on my ability to explain math for my students. Even finding the page was a struggle before, but now I can show my example on the screen and work the math problems out with them properly.

I can also teach writing with much more effectiveness using the doc camera. My students are able to see the letter formation and the process I go through to put my ideas into words. Thank you for helping bring my teaching to the top of its game!”

    Mrs. Baima
