A big reason I wanted to become a teacher was because my own elementary school teachers fostered a great love of reading in me from a young age and I want to pass that on to my own students. And a dream of mine since I started on the path to being a teacher is to have a fully stocked classroom library for my students to enjoy. I want to build a classroom library where my students feel seen in their own books and where they can learn and explore new areas through reading. Many of the books I have chosen are a mix of ones that I have loved reading, as well as books I feel my students will enjoy!
