My students can't control their personal circumstances. My school is 100% free lunch and Title 1. All of my kids have some type of risk factor attached to their file. For the 20 out 25 students who are unable to fulfill their school supply list, I am asking for any help you can give to provide them the best chance at closing the achievement gap they are facing in reading and math! All of the supplies I requested will be used for our reading block for daily 5 and Guided Reading lessons. I will also use the supplies for our guided math and math centers. I have already spent hundreds out of pocket and can't afford to spend what I wish I could for these kids. They are sweet and smart kids who deserve the best chance to succeed!
