My project has been funded, and my students and I are all tremendously excited! With your support, we have been able to turn my classroom into a more engaging place, where the students are able to spend time utilizing their online reading programs every day.
The additional technology has increased their usage and progression through their lessons. Looking back at the progress between marking periods, it is evident that the added time spent on these programs has increased student achievement.
We have recently purchased a mathematics program that we are eager to begin using on the Chromebooks! Thank you very much for allowing us to fuel student learning and achievement. One more time, thanks so much!!! :)”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kia Motors America and 13 other donors.

My students are 3rd-5th graders, living in various neighborhoods of Philadelphia, and attend a highly individualized and specialized public school program in the heart of Fairmount, Philadelphia, PA. Some of my students are working on mastering basic phonetic skills, while others are learning to read for comprehension. They love to use the computer, and would benefit from more 1:1 time logged into their individualized reading accounts. In addition to working hard on their reading and math skills, my students love to cook (and eat) healthy food! Their favorite snack is carrots and hummus. They are anxious to dip some of the fresh vegetables growing in our school garden into our homemade hummus!
