    They each got to choose their banks and were so chatty it was hard to keep them still for the pictures!

    Our "What To Wear? We Need A Cricut To Prepare!" project was funded and it's all thanks to you and your donations. We can now make and take creative art designs done by our little preschoolers!

    There is still so much to learn about the machine and products. We did do a test run with the help of one of our TA's. The 100th Day of school is not to far off and we want to get a ahead start on our T-shirts!

  • Pre-K All The Way! Give A Kid A Meal Today!

    Our project "Pre-K All The Way! Give A Kid A Meal Today!" is a success because of you! We want to thank you for your generosity. You truly have made our week!

    As soon as we received the delivery this past Friday, we were so excited because we didn't have enough to create our weekly "Weekend Food Bags" for our preschoolers this week, but your gifts showed up right on time! My co-teacher prepared the baggies with a huge smile on her face, myself and our students did a HAPPY DANCE! We owe all of this to you!

    Our parents were excited too! Especially since this was a 3 day weekend we were about to have! They say THANK YOU with pride and we are so grateful to you for being the GREAT GIVING TREES that you are.

  • Let's Have a Holly Jolly Christmas This Year!

    We want to THANK YOU for being so generous to our Preschool Community! Your giving nature ensured that our students had an amazing Christmas this year and our families are so grateful to you for being such a BEACON OF LIGHT in these trying times.

    Many of our families are still struggling and your gifts has given them some peace of mind. Knowing there are people within the DONORS CHOOSE organization that truly want to see their children succeed is beyond anything they ever expected.

    As you know from our previous projects that were so generously funded by you, that we created gift boxes for each student and we added the final finishing touches with the items from this project!

    Each child received brand new toys of their very own. The tablets, necklace activity sets, the leap frog electronic learning games, dinosaur play sets, tablets were a huge hits with everyone!

    We did not know if the project would be funded, but you made it happen! Our students had the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!!”

  • Preschoolers Are Great, Just Give them the Tools to Elevate!

    You are the Reason during this giving Season that we were able to have the additional supplies we needed to ensure we can create and maintain a healthy classroom environment.

    Every day we are grateful to be able to provide simple things like hand soap, facemask for students and ourselves, to help keep us safe while we are learning and having fun. The amplifiers make it easier for us to be heard through our mask, which was a challenge before we had them.

    The food and snacks ensures we can provide meals and other essentials to our students while they are in school weekly and at home on the weekends

    . Because of your generosity, we can happily continue to make food bags for each of our students to take home to support the parents in providing healthy food choices while they are at home over the weekends. You don't know how good this makes us feel and we owe that all to your organization!”

  • It's Raining, It Pouring! Raincoats Keep Us Cozy!

    It may rain, it may pour, it may sleet, it may snow, but we are ready for it all because of YOU!

    We were so excited to see and have each of our students receive a raincoat and umbrellas of their very own, to protect them from the elements and seasons we experience here in New York City.

    It is a wonderful feeling to know they can get to and from school community without our families having to worry about basic essentials we can sometimes take for granted. This week alone we had rain, snow and some sleet befall us yet we didn't have to worry! Our preschoolers happily wore their rain gear and said this was in our boxes with a smile on their faces. You see we also added the rain gear to their big box of goodies for Christmas, so your donation keeps giving and giving!

    We are using the Tye dye kit to make T-shirts for our Preschool Spirit Week Events. Making wearable art is so much fun and they can be proud of their own creations!

Having access to basic life essentials would help support all areas of their development and make their learning experiences more meaningful . The organizational, cleaning / health and food supplies are essential in opening up the world to them, beginning right in our classrooms. The organizations who support Donors Choose are helping to give my students a much needed boost in learning to positively engage with others and share ideas. We could work on real world issues that effect us right here in our own communities. Learning how to be apart of something bigger than themselves is just a start! By giving us opportunities that we could not afford on our own, you allow us to move forward and become valuable to the communities in which we live.
