Providing our students multiple opportunities to develop their communication, critical thinking and creativity skills is a must. Our news crew team, WDOG, will use the HUE animation studio and microphones, along with video recording equipment we already own, to create weekly newscasts for our school. This WDOG team will play a vital role in educating our school and district community about the innovative learning occurring at our school . Additionally, the LEGO and K'Nex materials requested will be used by all students as they complete engineering design challenges to improve their creativity and critical thinking skills. The Makey Makey will be used to learn about circuitry. Finally, we will invite volunteers to work with our students to teach them how to knit. These projects will be part of our compassionate making initiative and will be donated to nursing homes, homeless shelters and other community partners.
