Funded Sep 9, 2024How absolutely amazing you are for supporting us! The students were so excited to receive the new chalk pastels which are a MUCH better quality than the ones we had. Students responded, "These are soooo nice!" and "Wow how smooth these are and the colors POP!"
The students have been working hard on Chalk Iguanas to align with their EL unit in Adaptations and also have been been studying Paul Klee and will be completing an artwork inspired by Klee's Castle and the Sun. Students love the feel and how the quality of the chalk pastels are so much nicer than the ones we had been using.
We truly appreciate your generosity and your support for my art program.”

Art Supply Refresh
Funded Mar 27, 2024Thank you so much for supporting my art classroom! The students are enjoying the materials and the opportunities provided to create many types of artworks including Printmaking, and enhancing their paintings with black and white oil pastels.
My students love the new colors of ink and they can be used in blacklight so they are super excited for that. My middle school students were happy to receive scissors that fit their hands. The fingerpaint paper was used for PreK to create positive/ negative artworks using the first letter of their name.
Again thank you for thinking of us and donating to my amazing art students. We truly appreciate your generosity!”

Funded Sep 28, 2023We are so thankful for your generous donation toward our Material Replacement Project. In art we use materials everyday that are shared among 600+ students. I spend a lot of time explaining proper usage and respect toward materials and the students are really careful with materials BUT with so many students using them, they get used up and that's where you stepped in to help.
Glue, glue sticks, markers, and canvas boards are all popular materials here in the art room. 6th graders worked on paintings and those glue sticks will be used up with all of our upcoming collage units! Students hate finding glue sticks that are empty and when our shipment was delivered they went around an replaced the used up ones with new ones. Students also appreciated the Colors of the World Markers so they could draw and color people who look like they do with matching skin color. These are important supplies and we are so grateful that you generously donated to our project. We appreciate your generosity and can't wait to use the materials to create more amazing art!”

Clay Molds and Tools
Funded Jan 11, 2024I cannot thank you enough for your donation towards our clay molds and tools project. Students have been able to handbuild bowls and plates using the molds adding new experiences to our art making. The other tools are used in daiily handbuilding lessons to carve, smooth, and shape the clay during various stages.
My students were intrigued at the molds when they first arrived and couldn't wait to see how they worked. My clay club really got into it and pushed clay rolled into coils and other shapes into the plaster molds and smoothed them flat to make a smooth inside and a textured outside.
The molds are mostly for independent work, but every class someone is using them to create something from their rolled out slab! Having these materials allows for the students to gain valuable knowledge and experience on techniques and make their art so much more amazing!”

Keeping Our Clay Pieces Safe Part 2
Funded Mar 10, 2024Our class clay projects are prized possessions and are equally as valuable as any other artwork we create, BUT they are incredible fragile and take up a lot of space. Also everyone loves to look at them and many cannot resist touching them when they are out in open. They are also highly likely to get bumped into or broken when moving them. And then you came along and saved our fabulous clay pieces from potential peril!
When the boxes arrived for the clay cart and shelves the students were ecstatic. We were adding another clay cart which meant more students could work on clay at the same time because we would have more safe storage space. Students could spend more time on their pieces because we were no longer rushing to make sure everyone had a chance to work on clay.
These shelves and cart are now a main staple of everyday art in my classroom and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity. We appreciate your thoughtfulness in helping my students achieve their goals and make amazing art!”

Magnet Tiles for Art
Funded Nov 8, 2023In art class our main focus is to use mediums to create visual artwork. But many times some students finish early or can choose a an art center while they are waiting a turn to work in a small group. These magnatiles allow my younger students the opportunity to build 3 dimensional structures much like they would construct a 3D sculpture out of clay or found objects. The chance to take risks and explore how to construct a solid and experiment with design in a relaxed setting along with sharing and respecting materials is a perfect way to help our littlest artists get ready for bigger 3D art making.
The students love the magnatiles and are so proud of all their creations. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them in 3D art! We are so thankful and appreciative of your generosity and choosing to donate these amazing materials to our art class.”
