I have so many different learning styles within my classroom. Flexible seating will accommodate all of my students learning styles because this will give them the power to choose where they want to sit. Additionally, this will give my students a chance to take charge of the way they will choose to learn. I believe in class structure; but I also believe that for a child to learn, they need to be in a warm, fun, and welcoming environment to be able to achieve this. The wobble cushions will help students to stay in their spot while on the carpet. The exercise balls will give my wiggly students a chance to move around while still staying in one spot. The materials I am requesting will allow my students to choose a comfortable and fun environment that is tailored to their learning experience. In addition to the flexible seating options, I have also requested pocket charts that I will use for a word wall. Instead of having just one word wall, I am going to use the pocket charts for each subject in English Language Arts, math, and science/social studies. This will build my students vocabulary and will also be something they can look back at while they are in their writing centers.
