  • Picture Perfect Projects Building Unbreakable Bonds

    Funded Sep 30, 2019

My students were ever so grateful for the donations to help them create their I am Beautiful boards. They had to focus on what makes them beautiful, beyond appearances.

Although the materials provided did help them create "beautiful" boards, the impact was much greater because they developed a self love as they reflected on what makes them who they are.

Any time students have new supplies, they react in a different way. Imagine only having hand-me-downs and suddenly you get the good stuff. It makes a difference.”

  • The One Where We Create a Safe Place

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

Thank you for providing the means for my students to ground during the day. The intricate coloring books gave my students something to focus on, not just color. Even some of my more challenging students are enjoying coloring from the books provided.

One of the major benefits is that they have a choice in what they are coloring, instead of being told what to color.

My students also appreciate the new pencils to use while coloring. Nothing gives a greater sense of pride than having new materials to work with, instead of hand-me-downs from years past. They are even keeping it organized in the box!

Thank you again for helping my students ground during the day. It may not seem like much, but it can help even the tightest wound students relax.”

  • Printing Peacefulness

    Funded Sep 23, 2023

Thank you for giving us a little peace. We greatly appreciate your generosity for the funding of the printer and tablet and colored pencils. Who ever has enough colored pencils? My students we be able to find a little peace and get creative at the same time. Thank you again for making this dream a reality.”

  • Time Savers In Group Work

    Funded Sep 30, 2019

I am so excited to create work centers on my tables. It will save so much time in the classroom to have the materials readily available. In addition to saving time, it will make the transition easier for my 6th graders as many of them are accustomed to community resources in the classroom. My students will still be responsible for having their own materials, but knowing that the emergency resources are available will be such a help in my classroom.”

  • Posters That Pop

    Funded May 18, 2018

Thanks to your donations, my students and I have been able to create posters that stand out in the classroom and are gallery walk quality. For example, while we were creating a Costa's Level of Questions one pager, my students were able to use different colors for each level of question they wrote around the picture they were given. This helped them during presentations so that the other students understood and could differentiate between they levels of questions.

As they were creating their college pennants for their lockers, they were delighted to be able to create a pennant that will showcase who they are and display it prominently on their lockers for the remainder of the year. The colored pencils also came in handy while coloring their interactive notebook covers.

Because many of my students come with the bare minimum in supplies, they were super excited to see the extensive choices of colors of markers and colored pencils. They love using the giant post its to create their projects versus the butcher paper with ragged edges they use in other classes. When they ask why their other teachers don't give them markers and colored pencils, I simply explain that through the generosity of donors like you, I am able to provide them for them. Other teachers even pop in to ask if they can use our materials!!

We all work better when we have quality tools. Thank you for helping us to activate both sides of our brain by integrating art and creativity into the classroom. Without your generosity, we would be living in a dull black and white (or whatever poster paper is left) world.”

  • Table Top White Boards

    Funded Nov 12, 2015

Thank you for your generous monetary donation and your crucial support.

My students were very excited after we came back from Spring Break and they saw all of the new desk top white boards. They are very eager to use them on and daily basis and many have even "found" their dry erase pens that disappeared months ago. They much prefer to use the new ones provided through the project though!

Additionally, they love using the white board cleaner spray. I have even had to make a rule in my class that the spray, markers and desk tops are not toys. They want to write all of their assignments on the desktops, which is funny, because I cannot collect the desks.

Thank you again for your donation.”

  • Oh the Things We Can Do...

    Funded Apr 1, 2016

Thank you for your tremendous generosity. Materials, especially consumables, are so difficult to keep in stock and maintain without help.

Not only will my current students benefit from the materials, but future students will as well. The markers will last for several years and be a welcome addition to our dwindling supply.

I am excited to let my students know that we will be replenishing our stock and receiving new tools as well!

Thank you again for your donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mangus

  • Bringing Reading to Life With Color

    Funded Nov 20, 2015

Thank you immensely for your donation. Few people realize how many consumables (crayons, colored pencils, markers, and even paper) teachers buy out of pocket every year. As we try to keep costs down for parents, our costs rise and very little money is available in the school budget. My principal does her best, but it still doesn't compare to the generosity of my donors.

My students have already burned through nearly half of my stockpile and it's barely 2nd quarter. Your donations will help us to continue to bring our reading and writing to life.

Our society likes to watch color, HD television and movies, and my hopes are that with the art materials, I can help bring their reading and writing into the 21st century! Thank you does not express the gratitude I wish to extend.

    With Deepest Gratitude,”

  • Present Like A Rock Star

    Funded Dec 27, 2013

Thank you so much for your donation. It is hard for students to produce presentation worthy posters if they do not have the right materials. My students were tickled pink when I checked out markers to each group and then when I gave them the poster paper... I can't even describe their delight. It was interesting to see them use the paper with such care. Typically, when they have used the bulletin board paper from the big rolls, at least three groups would have to "restart" because they messed the paper up. In the last three presentations the students have worked on, I have only had one group need a new sheet of paper. The quality of the work has improved three-fold as has the level of responsibility with materials. They don't even mind having to check out the pens and markers for their groups! Thank you again for your generous donation.”

  • Remembering Who I Am

    Funded Jul 18, 2012

Creativity is often crushed for core content as students enter into middle school, only to be resuscitated as they enter high school and asked to write creatively or create eye catching presentations to prepare them for their futures.

With your support, I am able to keep creativity alive and well, while still teaching content standards. Memorable elements from middle school are often forgotten memories. Who wants to look at a binder full of old paragraphs and choppy essays. The Cricut© machine and scrap booking markers will transform boring papers into pieces of art that, hopefully, they will keep and pull out to share with their children.

The impact of your generous donations will continue for many years for countless students. An impact that I will hopefully see when I am teaching the children of my students many years in the future.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mangus
