  • Fabulous First Graders

    Funded Dec 3, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students and their learning! They were so excited to receive the fun games to help them develop their literacy skills!

We've had a lot of fun playing I have who has and learning new sight words. It's exciting to watch students transfer their new knowledge of sight words to reading.

Constantly my students notice sight words they've learned from the game in stories read or other text. They share this observation with a lot of excitement!

These resources will provide a lot of opportunities for parents to support their student's learning at home!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Newberry

  • Once Upon a STEM...

    Funded Feb 10, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to this project! Your generosity provided my students with opportunities to develop their literacy skills while exploring STEM- science, technology, engineering and math activities.

My students were able to develop problem solving skills while collaborating with their peers and developing new vocabulary. The kits also introduced them to STEM careers in a very kid-friendly, practical way.

My students are eager to continue learning and exploring from these kits. I'm eager for them to further develop their skills in engaging, hands-on learning. These kits are durable and well made, which will allow students to learn from these for many years to come!

Thanks for seeing the potential my students have and helping them reach their fullest potential.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Newberry

  • Paul Bunyan Formed the Grand Canyon by Dragging his Axe.

    Funded Jan 28, 2021

Thank you so much for providing these great literacy themed STEM kits! I'm not sure how I ever taught without them! The kits have provided hours of hands-on, math and science problem solving experiences while reinforcing comprehension and vocabulary development.

My students have enjoyed collaborating with their peers to solve the challenges posed in the activities. These activities have been a warm welcome after returning to in-person learning where students are able to handle materials and work side by side with their learning partners.

Thank you again for caring about my students and their academic achievements!”

  • The Haves and the Have Nots

    Funded Jan 22, 2021

Thank you so much for providing a classroom set of, "I Have, Who Has?" and a take-home set for each of my students. It is a very popular choice in the classroom and has made a tremendous difference in my student's sight word fluency!

The feedback I have received from parents has been very positive. They are very grateful to have these resources to help their students become more successful readers. Parents often voice their interest in helping their children with reading skills, but often don't know how to help them. These card sets are great for encouraging parental involvement and support at home.

Thank you so much for caring about my students and their reading achievements.”

  • Everybody Freeze!

    Funded Jan 14, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to this project! My students have used this game multiple times in the classroom to improve their literacy skills. They have developed sight word fluency and decoding skills while collaborating with their friends.

Their parents have expressed a lot of gratitude for being provided a set of Freeze to use at home. They have told me that it is a game that they can play with their student and siblings. Not only did your contribution have an important impact on my students' literacy growth, but you are also helping their younger siblings acquire skills needed to be successful readers!

Thank you so much for caring about my students and their family members!”

  • Covid Schmovid

    Funded Jan 8, 2021

Oh, my goodness! I do not think I can even convey how much these materials have advanced my students forward toward meeting their goals in reading. They are super engaged while using these materials and have developed CVC word reading fluency so quickly!

These materials are a favorite for everyone. They are made out of durable materials so I know they will last for many years, enabling many more students learning opportunities! One of my struggling students shouted out, "I'm reading!" while we were playing the Splash game and reading the CVC words. I sent a note card home with his parents to let them know how hard he's been working. Thank YOU for inspiring my kids to work hard!”

    With gratitude,

  • Have You Read Any Good Books Lately?

    Funded Mar 3, 2020

Thank you so much for so generously supporting my students and their literacy development. The books arrived shortly before we shifted to Distance Learning due to Covid19. My students were so excited to read the books that were on their level. The nonfiction books are very informative and teach important scientific skills. The fiction books are very engaging.

I use the books during distance learning with the use of a document camera. I'm very eager for the students to return so that we can enjoy the books even more. The books are well constructed and should last for many years, which will impact many students.

Thanks so much for caring about my students and their literacy development.

Unfortunately I do not have students to photograph in person right now, so I will upload pictures of where my students will enjoy reading the books upon their return on January 25th.”

  • Every Child Can Learn

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my students and their learning outcomes. I'm so sorry about the delayed response for thanking you.

The materials arrived shortly before the school closed due to Coronavirus. I was able to use the wonderful materials with my students before we shifted to distance learning. Now that we are in distance learning I use the materials while I teach with the use of a document camera.

The math problem solving cards are great for stretching students' minds about the steps involved in solving word problems. The Bingo time telling set has been adapted as a learning tool for helping students learn to tell time. Two of my students received the math journals in their instructional activity kit that I sent to their homes.

I can't wait for the students to return to in-person learning so that we can even get greater use out of your generous donation.

Thanks so much for caring about and supporting my students!”

  • Can I Borrow Some Ones?

    Funded Feb 26, 2020

I can't believe how quickly these regrouping kits arrived! The kits are very durable and will last for many years!

Today was the first day that students were able to use them. I modeled how the activities work and then students used them independently while I observed them working.

They are so useful in helping students grasp the concept of regrouping. The kits make the abstract concept concrete enough for students to understand how place value works while adding, subtracting and multiplying double and triple digit numbers.

Two students were late for lunch because they wanted to solve one more problem with the kits before leaving!

Thank you so much for caring about my students and their learning!”
