This classroom project was brought to life by A Generous Donor and 3 other donors. Our Creative and Productive Work Environment....
Funded Mar 6, 2019First, I am very grateful to you, for providing funding my project. not only can i preserve the work and data for my students, we are also managing our carbon footprint. The supplies that we have gained allows us to reuse materials for multiple students. I am able to make word cards so that they can learn using hands on practice. They are learning new words, making new words, building sentences and many other learnable activities. I am also able to laminate anchor charts and all work that the students can reference back to.
The impact that this generous gift has made on my students has been so great. I am able to make and preserve hand made manipulative's. I/we are able to make miniature anchor charts that our students can read and revisit (at home, in their classroom or while working with us). They can write on and erase (ex: underline key words and phrases). This also makes it so easy to print information, laminate, clean, file and save for future use. Our students can also work as peer leaders.
Once again, I truly would like to thank you for your generosity. Because of you and your generous donations, our students and the literacy team members, will have so many beautiful ways to use these materials and supplies, for our students and many future students.
Educationally yours,
Ms. Michele Newton”

Eating and Learning
Funded Apr 12, 2018First, I cannot thank you enough for supporting the students of PS 18 and teachers too. We all had a great day. They learned about different types of chocolates, created their own chocolate masterpieces, with either a chocolate Oreos or a pretzel. Then they ate s'mores. The Chocolate Factory played music and the students danced.... Then, they were given middle size lollipops to take home. Smiles were all around.
Thank you again. These students worked hard and the progression they made has been prove by the schools assessments. This is why I truly believed these students deserved this trip.”
With gratitude,
Ms. N.
