  • Play-Doh Your Way to Strong Minds and Hands

    Funded Sep 29, 2014

Thank you so much for the new props to inspire motor skills in our classroom. Our students use them daily. They love to play with each other and our staff. They have made teeth out of Play-Doh to become a dentist. Our students love to be construction workers and make things to go in the town out of the play-doh as well as, use the trucks and other construction vehicles to move it around. This has been a great social activity. The kids are loving to create Disney princesses with long hair. There are new lessons everyday that inspire children to play and learn. Thank you again for making these opportunities available for our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mathis

  • Play Your Way to Kindergarten!

    Funded Mar 28, 2014

Thank you so much for the materials to inspire children to play their way to better motor and cognitive skills. Our students use them every day during our center time. They were so excited to open the boxes and find new materials to "play" with. The drilling station has been a favorite place to go! We have already replaced the batteries once, it has been so well loved. The bead activity was wonderful for matching colors and shapes as well as for overall motor and visual integration skills. Shape activities became teacher time activities where the students were able to choose what they wanted to "build." Center time is a favorite time of the day and the materials you sponsored offered new choices for learning. Thank you for making this possible for our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mathis

  • Dress Up to Learn New Words and Social Skills!

    Funded Jul 14, 2012

    Dear Donors-

Thank you so much for the costume props to inspire language in our classroom. Our students use them daily. They love to play with each other and our staff. We have heard increased communication from all of our students which is music to our ears! Our students love to sort letters, shapes, and colors as the postman. They are construction workers building tall and short buildings with their tools. This has been a great social activity. They are learning to drive and what the signs on the roads mean. There are new lessons everyday that inspire children to talk. Thank you again for making these opportunities available for our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mathis

  • Special Needs Preschool Growing! Need Room for More Behinds!

    Funded Dec 20, 2011

Thank you so much for our new rug. The students were excited when they came in and saw it. The rug has become the center place for all of our group time activities. The students know just where they can sit and every child can see. We also use it to play games that review colors and shapes. These games also integrate large motor activities including dancing, jumping, and hopping. The new rug has made the organization of this group time so much easier. Thank you again for impacting the learning for all our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mathis
