Ready to Perform with Real Instruments
Funded Nov 10, 2024It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give toward our project! With our drums and ukuleles, students have gained a better understanding of performance. It has been a positive influence that they have access to instruments everyday! When we work on rhythm it is wonderful to be able to put them into practice.
These tools have empowered my students to have positive attitudes towards learning music! That is priceless in the world we live in today. We used the instruments in our Christmas performance and we use them in class.
Again, thank you for your donation. Our children's faces lit up when the instruments arrived! One of my 7th graders even helped me put the drum set together. They beg me everyday to play them. We thank you that our students are starting to see an abundance in music at our school, even though that may not have been the case for them previously."”

Tools for Success In General Music Class
Funded Oct 24, 2024Thank you for the contribution to our music class at Armorel Schools! The students were so excited to see the new pianos dance scarves, etc. We have been able to complete activities that my students have had to skip or modify in the past because we did not have the right tools or instruments to complete the tasks given in the curriculum. Now we are completing these and the students are growing in piano each week.
At Christmas we used our scarves in a "Christmas Around the World Show". It was a huge hit! We have used them to practice dance and rhythm in class as well. It has all brought so much joy to student learning in our music class.
Thank you again!!”

Music Class Needing Instruments
Funded Nov 12, 2023Thank you so much for your support in this project! I can't even put into one letter the impact you have made in the lives of these students. We did not have much to work with and I have. been trying to build a musical culture here at Armorel School. When we received the recorders, drums, etc. the face of the students lit up! They could not wait to actually get their hands on some of the instruments we have been talking about for some time. Everything in our program begin to come alive just from that one shipment. Our drummers were able to play for the Christmas show and we did an incredible rendition of "Little Drummer Boy". The parents were so excited they had us in a full band playing at the basketball games already, haha. But, the students are more motivated and have something to look forward to in the future now.
My students have been practicing on the pianos and even come over in their spare time to create. I have included a picture of two girls doing just that.
We were playing buckets and using old rhythm sticks I found in storage when I got here. When I pulled out the actual drum sticks and taught them how to hold them and use them, they were so excited!
We have so much more we plan to do with everything you provided for us. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity! We are building a culture of music here and you have helped!”

Progressing In Piano Performance
Funded Oct 26, 2022I just want to thank you for the help in our classroom! The students are leaning more about how to play piano and are becoming very good musicians. Thanks to your generosity we have not had to wonder how we will get tools for projects or performance this year. One example, I have a student who had to share keyboards with another student because we did not have enough pianos or headphones. Now every student has their own piano to rehearse on.
The student were so excited! It was like Christmas Day in the classroom. They love to learn music and you have given them even more than you know.
The next steps for us are continuing to get better at the piano and hosting a recital for the students to play for their parents and community.”
With gratitude,
Ms. MiChele Green
This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares and one other donor.Purchasing an iPad Pro for Recording Technology and Music Storage.
Funded Sep 16, 2018Thank you so much for the donation for the ipad pro. It has had such a valuable impact on our music program already!! Your generous donation has added excitement to our choral, piano, and theater departments! At Christmas, we were able to record our piano students and using imovie put together a Christmas video for the other classes. It was so much fun for the students and such a learning experience when it came to creating the movie using technology and also learning our pieces of music for the videos.
Now we are in the middle of our rehearsals for our musical "Beauty and the Beast". We perform a different musical every Spring. In previous years we have had to download samples from YouTube to practice with because we did not have an Apple device to download Rehearse Score on and our rehearsal tracks from the company could not be added without an Apple device. This year we were able to download the Rehearse Score app and have been able to rehearse for the musical using actual rehearsal tracks. Students are so happy to be able use these rehearsal tracks and have an opportunity to practice to performance. It is going to be so much better now that students can add their own creativity and style to the songs without mimicking what they hear on YouTube. Funding for this ipad has increased our effectiveness in our after school rehearsals and our classroom practices! We could not have done it without Donorschoose.
I'm so thankful for your donation and for it allowing my students to be more creative and more confident in the performing arts. They are working hard and have now had the opportunity to mesh technology and performance rehearsals. We have been able to not only download and store our music for the upcoming musical, but we have also been able to slow the music down and really dive into in-depth rehearsals. I can't wait to see how many more projects we will be able to take on and how much storage we will have going forward. Thank you again for your generosity!”

Ms. MiChele Green
