  • Fresh Air, Fresh Minds

    Funded Oct 13, 2020

Thank you for the donation of the air purifier and accessories to go with it (extra filters for the purifier). My classroom gets wet occasionally with rainfall and this has helped relieve headaches and to me provided a cleaner air environment for our classroom to have. I have several students who stay in my room for half the day or more. We run it all day and it's quiet enough to not bother students working. Students were excited to try the air purifier and we cannot thank you enough for the donation to our classroom!

    Thanks again so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yamnitz

  • Vet Technicians Are Important Too!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide more hands on activities for our biannual vet tech class to use within the classroom. Students will practice a variety of things including sutures, IV's, taking temperatures, heart rates, a variety of identification tools, and diagnostic tools to diagnose diseases and other common conditions that occur in veterinary medicine. Students learn much faster and clearer by seeing it done and then doing it themselves versus just watching it on a screen or looking at it in a book. We want to show you how appreciate we are of you with our heartfelt thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yamnitz

  • Back to School Supplies

    Funded Jul 21, 2020

Thank you for providing our classroom with general school supplies that I can send along with students if and when a shut down occurs. Items that we requested are simple but total cost adds up quickly for me to purchase on my own for the 180 students I see in two day's time. This allows me to rest assured that students will have the materials needed to be successful and they also do not have to worry about having to find or pay for the materials such as tape, notecards, glues ticks, colored pencils, paint, etc. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yamnitz

  • Drip Drop, Leaks Need to Stop!

    Funded Jun 29, 2020

Thank you for donating to us materials needed to improve and revamp our dripline irrigation system for our mum production for our classroom and ffa chapter. We were able to successfully grow 200 mums (100 red, 50 yellow, and 50 pink) behind our ag building this year and plan to do 500 next year, as long as covid restrictions allow us to participate in such acts. Last school year was challenging but we made it through with great kids and community support. Thank you again for all that you have done for us!”

  • Models Help Visualize!

    Funded Feb 22, 2020

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have cell models and tracking models for my classes. My conservation class was able to use the tracking models kit last spring to make their own tracks as a wrap up to the animal unit of conservation before covid hit us and shut school down. We plan to use the dog models in my vet tech class yet this fall along with the animal cell models in vet tech and introduction to animal science this fall as well. I really appreciate you giving to our program and enriching the lives of my students one item at a time. Thanks again!”

  • Welding Success

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

Students are using the resources provided generously by you by actively welding in our welding block courses. Students are able to have newer materials because of you that aid in seeing better and they have more consumables to use that we would have otherwise gone without, or Ms. Burgfeld would have had to purchase out of her own pocket.

Students were very excited to see the materials that were obtained through donors choose. Welding is one of the advanced degree fields that students can take a five or six month program and be making more money in a year than I am, so it is important to give them the opportunity to see what kind of careers are in store for us. Thanks again!”

  • Ready, Set, Make!

    Funded Aug 22, 2019

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to receive a handheld 3D printer and consumables to go along with the making portion of creating stuff! Students really enjoyed having a 3D printer in the classroom and having a smaller one really helps making small items quickly and efficiently.

Students have been able to have the opportunity to be more creative in the classroom with the extra supplies - cutting mat, rotor cutter, corrugated paper, etc.

Thank you so much for this opportunity for my students to create something new!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yamnitz

  • Screen Printing Education

    Funded Apr 1, 2019

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have screen printing items in our classroom. We will use these to allow students to get more creative and show that creativity by making shirts, hoodies, hats, and whatever you can think of to screen print on. We could even screen print our name on woodworking projects that we make for people. We received two new screens that we will use our cricut to die cut stencils out with and be able to reuse the screens instead of using emulsion and having the screen kept as one specific stencil forever. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yamnitz

  • Drip Lines for Financial Literacy

    Funded Dec 4, 2018

Thank you for allowing my students to add onto our drip line irrigation system that my landscaping class has been working hard to build for us to put chrysanthemums out again this year. The plan is to put enough drip line irrigation out for 200 potted plants that will be watered every morning through the summer, until around mid September. My agribusiness class will have the opportunity to figure up cost of production of the plants while my landscaping and other classes will have the opportunity to build and create something that is not normal for our area in Bollinger county. Thank you again for giving us this opportunity!”

  • Welder's Paradise

    Funded Mar 22, 2019

Thank you for giving our classroom the opportunity to have new items that improve our classroom experience. Our students were very excited to see we no longer have to share the one auto darkening helmet that we have and that we now have two to share. They are also excited to see welding rods to practice their skills and build new things with. Consumables like this get expensive pretty quickly and I'm so glad they have the opportunity to create without the cost. Also, thank you for the new gloves, I can now throw away the ones with holes and replace with the new ones. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yamnitz
