  • A Little Bit of Everything!

    Funded Nov 24, 2022

THANK YOU SO MUCH for donating to our project " A Little Bit of Everything"! We truly did get a little bit of everything to help the students continue to grow, learn and communicate. One of the highlights of this Donors Choose was the Spin Again toy from Fat Brain toys. The students absolutely love watching the toy spin and turn. This toy has helped the students with their communication skills, sharing, taking turns and waiting. It is a great addition to our classroom!

In addition, thank you for the teacher supplies of printer ink, laminating sheets and velcro. These materials allow me to make personalized learning activities that meet the needs of each of my students!

I am very grateful for your support! Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

  • Fun in Pre-K

    Funded Jan 10, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to Fun in Pre-K! My students have absolutely loved the new materials that were donated to the classroom. When I first opened the packages with all the supplies each child had a huge smile on their face and were very eager to play with the new toys. Some of the students favorite materials were the Nuts and Bolts Counting game, the Magnetic Fishing Set, and the math counters. We also have been using the cube chairs on a daily basis for circle time and closing circle. Since our class has grown, we now have enough cube chairs for everyone thanks to you!! Thank you so much for your continued support! We truly appreciate it!”

  • Structure in Pre-K!

    Funded Aug 7, 2021

Thank you so much for your help funding the project Structure in Pre-K! The students utilize the cube chairs and the dividers on a daily basis! The cube chairs are used during circle time and story time at the carpet. They help the students remain seated during instruction and attend to the lesson. The students love coming to the carpet and picking what color chair they are going to sit in for that day! The dividers are also put to good use in our classroom. They are used to limit distractions within the classroom so students can focus on the task at hand. Thank you so much for your continued support.”

  • Learning at Home!

    Funded Aug 23, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to this project. Thanks to you, each student in my class was able to get a learning kit to use for remote learning. In the kit, they were provided with visual supports, play-doh, unifix cubes, a watercolor set, pattern blocks, dot markers, and some bubbles. My students use these materials on a daily basis for remote learning. During the live video sessions, you will often see at least one student building a tower or creating a piece of art with the materials. My students not only use the materials for remote learning but also during after school hours too. Thank you again for your generosity and support. With your help, we were able to make remote learning a success!”

  • New Year, New Materials

    Funded Jan 22, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity! I am so shocked that the project was funded so quickly! I am so grateful for your continued support of my classroom. My students will love the new adapted materials that I am going to make. I plan on making math, literacy, and social emotional materials to meet the unique needs of each of my students. As always, thank you so much for your support!”

  • 3, 2, 1 Countdown to a Great Year!

    Funded Aug 15, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to my project. My students have loved all of the new materials including the alphabet letters, number Popsicles, story box, and more. I think the favorite material that we received was the number Popsicles. The Popsicles are great for all of the students to learn numbers, colors, and quantities and the fact that they are a fun toy helps the students remain engaged and focused.

I am so grateful for the color ink and the laminating sheets because I am able to make color coded activities for my students. I recently made a color matching activity with dinosaurs that my students love!

Thank you again for your continued support. I am so lucky to have family and friends who support my classroom!”

  • Learning Through Play

    Funded Apr 4, 2019

Thank you so much for funding our project. The students were so happy when they saw the new supplies. The class favorites are definitely the cash register and the counting airplanes. During free choice time, students often gravitate towards the cash register. We help the students pretend they are a cashier at the grocery store and have their friends buy different items in the classroom. During centers, the students have been more engaged learning about 1:1 correspondence and quantities with the help of the airplanes.

As always, thank you so much for your generosity. I am truly grateful to have family, friends, and community members support the work I do with my amazing students.”

  • Learning Through Play and Art

    Funded Jul 26, 2018

Thank you so much for your support of my classroom! The students have loved the new supplies and toys that you so generously gave them. One of our favorite new toys is the Forrest Friends Play set where students get to take little plastic animals out of the play tree. This activity has been great for strengthening fine motor skills and for teaching children to share and wait their turn. Another class favorite is the car ramp where the students place a toy car on the top of the ramp and watch it slide down the ramp. Although those are the class favorites, all of the supplies have been used and loved by each of the students. Thank you again for your continued support.”

  • Cube Chairs and More!

    Funded May 4, 2018

Thank you so much for your continued support of my classroom. We have loved having the new materials in our room. The students have especially loved the new cube chairs that they sit in during circle time every single day. We have definitely seen an increase in some of our students' ability to remain engaged and seated during whole group activities. The supportive cube chairs have also been great for students who are learning to sit in chairs.

We have also been using the other materials that we received from the project. We have made many adapted books and resources using our new printer ink and laminating sheets. Students recently read an adapted book of the Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar when we were working on our bug unit.

Thank you again for your generosity. I feel incredibly lucky to have family and friends who support my students.”

  • Visuals, Sensory, and More

    Funded Dec 6, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my project Visuals, Sensory, and More. I was able to buy so many great items for my classroom. I am so grateful for your generosity because with your help I am better able to meet the needs of my students.

We have already started to use these amazing new materials. With the printer ink, I was able to create colorful adapted books, visuals of expected behavior, and social stories for my students. The visual timer has also helped my students transition between activities with ease. We look forward to using all of the materials on a daily basis!

Thank you so much for your help. I am very appreciative of your support and I know my students are as well!”

Everyday, my students participate in circle time. During circle time, we work on a number of literacy and math skills. My students currently use chairs to help them sit down and participate during circle time. However, these chairs do not provide enough support for them. Cube chairs are great for my students because they help them sit up in their chairs and stay in their own space. We currently have one cube chair in our classroom and a lot of the students love to sit in the chair. So we know that if we get more cube chairs they will be put to good use! The cube chairs will help the students sit down and attend to teacher directed activities, a skill that is so important to learn in preschool! In addition to the cube chairs, your support will go towards buying necessary supplies for my students like ink, laminating sheets, and Velcro! Thank you so much for your support!
