There is nothing more beautiful than looking at the face of a happy child. Thanks to your generosity, now I have a room full of happy children. They are energized, motivated and eager to learn. My students can't believe that now we have lots of pencils and a brand new sharpener. They take care of them as they would care for something they really love.
Recently, we completed a case study about the African country Nigeria. My students wrote a booklet with facts about Nigeria. They also wrote a persuasive essay to convince someone to travel to Nigeria. This project was possible thanks to your generosity.
The Schools all over the city have suffered some budget cut, it is a blessing to count with generous people who are willing to donate to make our dreams possible.

This classroom project was brought to life by an anonymous donor and 8 other donors.

I teach a wonderful group of third graders in New York City. They are all Hispanic. My students attend a school in a very poor neighborhood. They are very motivated and eager to learn. Some of them get ready for school on their own as their parents work long hours. My students love school. They enjoy reading and writing. As part of the curriculum, we study communities from around the world. They learn to write essays. They also write many informational books. My students love to work in collaboration, not only with their peers but also with other classes. My third graders are very proud of their families. We make sure to include their families in classroom activities, school celebrations, and field trips. The children in my class are friendly, respectful, and very responsible.
